undefined method `name' ...........
Hi Community.... I''m new in this game, so this might be a easy question, but I have done my google, without result, so I will try this.... I''m learning ROR, and I''m using Patrick Lens ''Ruby on Rails'' book. (This is written for ror 1.x - and I''m using NetBeans 6.1 - ror 2.x - this might be the problem...) But... I have made this

I think it might be related to the helper but I have no idea where to start. It seems to think its failing on the first line of the view, i belive on the

teardown not cleaning the BD?
Hi, I am a bit confused, I have a few functionnal tests were I add/delete records on top of the ones provided in the fixture and it seems like the records are surviving the teardown. Isnt teardown supposed to be ran after each test? So if I have something like: def teardown Client.delete_all Concept.delete_all Variation.delete_all ClientVariation.delete_all end All the

[PATCH 01/79] fs: add ctime accessors infrastructure
struct timespec64 has unused bits in the tv_nsec field that can be used for other purposes. In future patches, we're going to change how the inode->i_ctime is accessed in certain inodes in order to make use of them. In order to do that safely though, we'll need to eradicate raw accesses of the inode->i_ctime field from the kernel. Add new accessor functions for the ctime that we can

[PATCH] ruby: Fix .new method (RHBZ#1046509).
The .new method was unintentionally broken in commit 9466060201600db47016133d80af22eb38091a49. This fixes the .new method and allows it to be called with multiple parameters, so you can use: Guestfs::Guestfs.new Guestfs::Guestfs.new() Guestfs::Guestfs.new(:close_on_exit => false) etc. For backwards compatibility, Guestfs::create may still be used. This commit also adds regression

WIN32OLE file context during unit test
Hello all, I''m having trouble with the WIN32 file opening. I don''t'' know how to tell if this is a WIN32OLE issue or an issue with the application (Adobe Illustrator CS2) Review the included files below, which exist within a rails application. When IllustratorMinimalTest is run, #testFullPath succeeds, #testFileName fails. Thanks in advance for any advice on how to

Test data life cycle confusion
Hi, It states on page 140 of Agile Web Development with Rails: Here?s the bottom line: even if a test method updates the test database, the database is put back to its default state before the next test method is run. This is important because we don?t want tests to become dependent on the results of previous tests. Well, I''ve been running into a brick wall with some functional tests

Passing an SQL fragment in AR save
I have a basic model class TestTime with no customization. class TestTime < ActiveRecord::Base end I would like to pass the following SQL fragment as part of an AR save call to TestTime objects. How and where would I do this in the model? "set c_time=current_time" (current_time is an SQL method, not a variable). -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.
