HDL F10 brazilian doorbell device + TDM2400
Hi,
I'm trying to connect an HDL F10 device for a friend living in Brazil to
the TDM2400 on his Asterisk server.
That device should behave like a normal doorbell and it is if connected
to an analog PBX.
I connected to the TDM2400 and everything works fine except for one
thing: when the called party hangs up his phone, the F10 HDL device does
not hang up.
I'm not brazilian and not

Sipura SPA-3000 setup in Brazil
All-
I'm attempting to set up a Sipura SPA-3000 in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Not being a
portuguese speaker, I'm having a rough time of finding the relevant
information on how to make the thing pick up the PSTN line and make an
outbound call.
The sipura in question works fine on a bench connected to a POTS line in the
US, but is now plugged in in Sao Paolo. The immediate thing I notice is that

FREE PDF - SitePoint's Ruby on Rails book
Apologies for the self-promotion, but some of the Rails newbies out
there may be interested in knowing that our beginner''s Rails book is
now available as a free PDF (the full thing, not just a sample).
http://rails.sitepoint.com/
Personally I think it''s the best beginner''s Rails book out there, but
of course my bias is going to be questionable as I edited the thing.

Help for R parallelization
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a Brazilian researcher working in S?o Paulo ? Brazil. I?ve being using R-software for many years with my students in some engineering applications, but up to now we've being using only in stand-alone mode in Windows and Mac platforms.
Right now I have available a multi-core system and I would like to test some parallelism capabilities of R, mainly as an incentive to the

Almost 300 hours of videos about Free and Open Source Software
Hello!
People from International Free Software Forum (the largest brazilian event about FLOSS) have done it two times in a row. They've put online the whole video coverage for this year's event (also online are the videos from last year). It's almost 300 hours in Ogg Theora. I think it's worth a mention in theora.org website. It's a shame there's no subtitles, for most of

RXML: <ruby:put expr="1+2"/>
Hello
railers,
I''ve always been annoyed by the fact that ERB doesn''t respect XML
specs.
As I mostly write XHTML, I''m trying to write a renderer using only
valid
XML files. Here is an example of a file so you get the feeling of
what
it''s going to
do:

Basic matematical functions with NAs
Dear All,
I've tried to sum columns -- different species of flowers, fruits plus twigs -- with NAs to get litterfall/trap, and then after use litterfall to calculate production (litterfall (grams)/ hectare/ day. But R 'sees' litterfall/trap as a string.
My question: How to use basic mathematical functions to deal with NAs in data management.
Example (as you can note I have many
