Fair bandwidth oversubscribing ? How with HTB ?
Hopefully someone has a suggestion on how I might do this...as I can''t figure it out :( I need to be able to set up a group of seperate users who have a "bandwidth pool" they share, but also be able to limit their individual bandwidth as well. Example: I have 5 customers and would like to be able to provide them with a maximum of 256Kbit each, with a CIR of 33%. To do this,

with binaural-(or dummy head-or Kunstkopf-) recordin g, does vorbis keep the 3D sound?
Not exactly sure if this is what you are looking for, but here goes: RC3 and prior maintain channel seperation with Q>=5.0 (cut-off is exact) Vorbis 1.0 maintains channel seperation with Q>=6.0 (not sure of the exact cut-off) with release code, selecting a Q of 5.99 or lower will make assumptions for channel seperation to save bits. earch the archives for "ambisonics" - you may

rsync as a bakcup tool and the case of rotated logs
Hello, I use rsync (among many other things) as an incremental backup tool. Every night I save /{home,etc,var} from several servers. On one of them we keep 52 weeks of system logs, so each time syslog is rotated all old syslog.x.gz (where x is between 1 and 213) change names. This impacts our backup transfers because the incremental snapshot now has to include all syslog.x.gz files even though

xenconsole: How to get out?
Hi, XEN has a console that works in text mode ("xm console", e.g. via SSH). However with a German keyboard I''m having trouble to get out of the console again. Usually I login to Dom0 from another terminal, and then kill the xenconsole process. However I''d wish there was an easier way to get out. Maybe add a configurable escape key like for SSH? xen-3.0.2-3
Hi I read a few times in the web about xen-3.0.2-3 but I cannot find a place to download it. Not even here: http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/Research/SRG/netos/xen/downloads/ Where can I get it? And does it have network issues solved? And what is the most current kernel I can use with xen? How do I change the source to use a more current kernel than 2.6.16.6? Regards, Steffen Please - if possible

Question about levels/as.numeric
Hi, I am still new to R and this is my first post on this mailing-list. I have two .csv (each one being a column of real numbers) coming from the same database (the first one is just longer than the second) and I read them in R the following way: returns <- read.csv("test.csv", header = FALSE) returns2 <- read.csv("test2.csv", header = FALSE) However, the two

NVPTX Back-end: relocatable device code support for dynamic parallelism
Hi everyone, CUDA allows to call some runtime functions also from the device code. On a multi-GPU system this allows the GPU to determine its device id on its own via cudaGetDevice(). Unfortunately i cannot get it working when compiling with clang. When compiling with nvcc relocatable device code needs to be set to true (-rdc=true) and the cudadevrt is needed when linking [0]. I did not

ESFQ updates
Hi. On Mar 12, Corey Hickey posted here(http://mailman.ds9a.nl/pipermail/lartc/2004q1/012038.html) an updated esfq patch for kernel 2.6. Has anyone backported it to kernel 2.4 ? Original esfq patch is not being kept in sync with kernel sfq, it seems. What people have been using with esfq and kernel 2.4.25, the original 2002 esfq patch ? Rubens

Auto-boot single Windows App
Hi All, I'm new to this forum. Basically I want to set up a PC to boot-up to a single program: Specifically SeaClear II chartplotter. It will also need to run MapCall II (a chart organiser for SeaClear). It also needs to support a touchscreen display. The aim is to get an on-board (fairly low-spec) computer to act as a chartplotter. So its basically going to be a single-function dedicted
