marking and routing (with multi-isp) not working
[ I hope this isn''t a dupe. Evolution crashed on my last send and I see nothing in my logs that leads me to believe the mail made it out before the crash ] Well, it probably is working. I''m probably just misunderstanding something. Given routing rules that look like this: 0: from all lookup local 10000: from all fwmark 0x40 lookup CGCO 10001: from all fwmark 0x80

ip rule, fwmark, mangle and src IP
I made a script to test if in a moultiple gateway setup all default connection are up, regardless of the fact that that gateway is the default gw. Suppose adsl1 and adsl2 are present, and all traffic goes by default to adsl1, and you want to test if adsl2 is ok. 1. I use mangles from iptables to mark icmp packets to some test machines 2. I set up a routing table for each adsl 3. I use

Conntrack, nat and multipath - what is wrong here?
I have a gentoo 2.6.14 box with 4 nics, LAN/DMZ/PUB1/PUB2 LAN and DMZ have a 1918 /22 each, PUB1 and PUB2 have a /29 each of which 5 ips are assigned. Using the mangle table, I give all packets a mark (according to local policies) in the range 1-10. Using ip rule, i pass marks 1-5 through the pub1 route table, and marks 6-10 through the pub2 routing table. Using the nat table, I SNAT to one

Routing multiple conntections to the same ISP
Hi, I have established two connections to the same ISP. After that ip route list showed this: 195.14.247.94 dev ppp0 proto kernel scope link src 81.173.141.207 195.14.247.94 dev ppp1 proto kernel scope link src 81.173.237.84 192.168.0.0/24 dev eth0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.0.1 default via 195.14.247.94 dev ppp0 I want 192.168.0.2 to connect to the internet by ppp1 and all

can I use tos and fwmark at the same time?
Hello lartc maintainers and users! I have a router with two NICs. One NIC is connected to the Internet and the other to my internal LAN. I made a script for priorizing interactive traffic. The script matches TOS Minimize-Delay for priorizing interactive trafic, and fwmark for metropolitan packets. I have two root classes (simulating two circuits) : 1:1 for internet and 1:3 for metropolitan.

[LLVMdev] Making LLVM safer in out-of-memory situations
Hi Andy, > I would think you could use a simple allocation scheme on the host side and then allocate a single block (or perhaps one code block and one data block) in the target process to receive everything, since everything is loaded on the host before you need to copy it to the target process. But perhaps I'm missing something regarding your particular scenario. > In any event,

Re: Load-banancing. two ip''s from one isp - solution
hi for those who was fallowing this topic I can say that IP_ROUTE_MULTIPATH_CACHED must be disabled! After few tests I''m quite sure that this was cousing my problems. Now I''m using 2.5.15 kernel without patch of Julian Anastasov and load-balancing is working. lartc split-access how to and http://www.ssi.bg/~ja/nano.txt now both are working fine Now I will try to use fwmark

DHCP Handling and Traffic Control over a Working Load Balanced Dual ISP Setup

Old machine -
Hi guys Can anyone give me any reason why BX should fail - tryig to install FreeBSD 4.7 on an old machine from CDROM. The machine loads a very old version of FreeBSD from hard drive (password long forgotten) so it seems to be running OK - it auto loads X windows - so the nachine seems to be running fine. Here is the output that I do not understand ;-( : int=00000000 err=00000000 efl=00030287

multiple isp + nat
I configured multiple isp (actually only multiple gw) according http://lartc.org/howto/lartc.rpdb.multiple-links.html. Now NAT (Internet) seems to work, both external interfaces work ( I didnt configure load balancing because I dont need it). However I have problem that I can not ping from NAT to public ip of my Linux box. Problem is that I can not connect from 192.168.1.0/24 network to services

dual-isp incoming traffic problems
I have two ISP connections, and am having some issues. I can connect to any services on the firewall, like the smtp gateway, but anything on the internal server only works from one connection. The lartc guide has a good example for what to do for services on the box, but leaves it open for how to handle services on an internal host. I''ve tried using iptables to mark the packets

how to remove rules
hi I have trying to remove the extra rules from my routing tables, however with no luck Also I want to know these duplicate entries have an effect on packets going routed? I have this overwhelming rules lists from my predessor who added the "ip rule add fwmark" entries in firewall script, and on each run of firewall script its creates an extra entry in routing table. Now what I want to
