WebDav on CentOS?
Hello,
I'm trying to set up webdav on apache on centos. My web area has dav
on set, it's permissions are 775 owner of the apache user and group of the
webdev group which i put users in who can write to the area. As a user
locally logged on to the machine i can cd to the area and create content
though it is owned and has a group of the user who made it i don't think

Looking into a solution for Caldav (and possibly carddav) support
We have an existing Dovecot/Postfix/Roundcube email solution, which I
was hoping to add Caldav (and carddav?) support to, with the goal of 3rd
party email clients being able to keep contacts and calendars in sync
(as well as having the same information in roundcube)
In doing research, I came across traces of it being considered for

Does CalDAV require neon-0.29 , not 0.30?
Asterisk-11.9.0, Fedora 20:
res_calendar_caldav.so => (Asterisk CalDAV Calendar Integration)
[Apr 27 10:49:13] ERROR[4255]: res_calendar_ews.c:911 load_module:
Exchange Web Service calendar module require neon >= 0.29.1, but neon
0.30.0: Library build, IPv6, Expat 2.1.0, zlib 1.2.8, GNU TLS 3.1.13. is
installed.
Is this a bug, or do I need to downgrade to 0.29?

Dovecot CalDAV server
I've been once in a while over the years thinking about implementing CalDAV (and CardDAV) to Dovecot. It might be time to start that soon. Does anyone have any suggestions? So far my main goals would be:
- scalable, of course
- configurable storage (object storage, regular fs, maybe some key-value dbs, maybe storing as emails)
- efficient indexes (potentially using key-value dbs? or maybe

Looking into a solution for Caldav (and possibly carddav) support
Hello,
The metadata support in dovecot is now quite stable ( at least i didn't
encountered problems on my servers )
But the metadata is only about marking the folders ( you can mark a
folder as "calendar" or "contact").
caldav/carddav are based on webdav protocol, so normally you need an web
server to publish them.
In kolab there is iRony as web application.

Calendar and address book with Dovecot
Hi all
I recently install Postfix and Dovecot, and so far so good. My assumption
was that calendar and address book (similar to Gmail calendar or address
book) are part of Dovecot. However I do not see anything concerning them in
any of the docs I have read so far.
What other software (ideally open source, free) do I need in other to have

perplexing permissions issue
Hello,
I have a perplexing permissions problem that i thought i had, but
it's resurfaced.
I'm running CentOS 5.3 and it runs an apache web server. The
permissions on the web data directory in this case /var/www/secure/data are
set to 4775 owner of apache group of webdev. All users that should be
allowed to place content are in the webdev group. I was under the impression
that any file

Looking into a solution for Caldav (and possibly carddav) support
Cyrus may offer the best implementation of cards and calendars ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_CalDAV_and_CardDAV_implementations ) but would you trade its imap for dovecots own?
I am starving for an open-source card and calendar solution that is sound and secure, so cyrus is a good candidate, but I need it to go along with the existing structure, i do not want to start fresh with

Cyrus IMAPd provides exactly that, easily ;-)
