tcpdump output --zebra ospfd
Dear Sir,
I have point-point ethernet connections to my linux
boxes on which I am running Zebra OSPFD.
I am unable to understand the output of the tcpdump.
Please clarify the terms in the output.
The output of the command tcpdump on BOX 1 is as
follows: I have also shown a part of my network below.

[Fwd: [quagga-users 2122] Linux advanced routing & quagga]
Hi Everyone;
Please find below a mail I sent to quagga mailing list, covering
lartc/quagga issue.
So far, I have no reply from them. I think that maybe you guys would
have an idea about this.
Thanks in advance !

Coexistence of Dynamic and Static routing
List members;
I have been reading the digest for some time now and I would like to ask some conceptual questions. I am a telecommunications systems designer and not a software guy, but I have tried and used a number of the tools availabel in the LARTC and Iptables, and many of the other great things included in Linux. We are designing commercial products and I don''t want to ask my

Best setup for redundant routers.
I am setting up 2 Vyatta routers that will serve as redundant failover
core routers out to the backbone of our ISP. They will be serving for
routing between other branches and the ISP and bandwidth management.
I am trying to differentiate between the plethora of information about
having redundant, automatic failover routers and pretty much decided on
VRRP for the IP address failover mechanism.

Linux choices ?
First of all, My apologies for this maybe slight OT post, but I have
so much confidence and read so much good replies on this list, that I
am still asking my question.
I''m looking for a linux distribution to use on our school''s homemade
routers. The routers are small miniITX based systems with 2 network
interfaces. I added a 4 port D-Link network card in some cases, when I

Hi everyone. I'm wondering whether a setup like the one described below
would be possible with Tinc:

Samba authentication fails
Hello,
I have an unusual problem and I've only found a small amount of material
after searching for other posts on this topic. We have a production
server running Samba version 2.2.7a which I'm told has been working
perfectly for many years. Every day over the last week Samba stops
authenticating users (via Active Directory) requesting access to shares.

Shapping traffic
Dear sirs,
I have the following situation:
I need to prioritize traffic as this: Higher priority UDP traffic from VoIP
servers, Medium priority http port 80, low priority SMTP & POP ports 25 &
110.
Now, we run OSPF & BGP with Zebra routers on at least 8 different routers
before going out to the Backbone provider.
As I understand, the problem with Zebra is that only hold 1

Authentication problems with Windows clients
I have installed Samba 2.0.4b on AIX 4.3.1 but cannot get it to
authenticate Windows clients. The error that I get is 'The password is
incorrect'. However when I use smbclient on the AIX box to connect to the
shared resource it connects no problem. The only way that I can get a
Windows client to connect is by putting the server into share mode and
setting the share as guest allowable.

Need HELP changing link_to_remote to a button
I would really appreciate some help with changing a link_to_remote call to a button of some sort. Here''s a little background.
On the page there are two <div>s. One is a form that lets the visitor enter items. The second <div> is where the entered items get displayed, each in it''s own item <div>.
Each item <div> has two <span>s. The first one

Tinc OSPF involving bridge
Hi Everyone,
I have a routing situation where Tinc looks like it could come in extremely useful, but I have a query I hope someone can cast an eye on, as I'm unsure whether Tinc can help me here.
I currently have a Quagga OSPF linux router which connects LAN A to LAN B over the quickest available of two routes (both routes at both ends connect to Quagga boxes to prevent collisions).

i am currently working on a project on "design of diffserv testbed

for marking the DS codepoint at the first hop router makes number of classes
depending on the indices given in the command. But i am not clear how at
the first hop router does scheduling takes place. what i mean is if i have
