Working cludge [Re: SSOAP fails with .types[[1]] : subscript out of bounds]
Hi, so, last post from here unless I can provide any more input to fix the upstream package. SSOAP: arguments passed as
Hi, I have a SOAP service, provided by BioMoby which I'd like to call via SSOAP. My service breaks during genSOAPClientInterface() genSOAPClientInterface(def=service, verbose = TRUE) Operation MassBank_Simple_2 Error: Cannot resolve SOAP type in empty context Problem seems to be that there are no <types> defined in the WSDL, and that the service passes input/output as a single

help with SSOAP (can't find working examples)
First of all, let me confess that I am a newbie to R and don't know much about the language or the environment. We have a need for plugging in R in our production runtime and need the ability to pull data out of our existing services. I am trying to see if I can take advantage of SSOAP such that we can expose the data via webservices and use SSOAP to call into them. Our runtime is mostly

User engine apparently breaks wsdl in some cases
(X-posting to the engine group as well) Wsdl calls fail under certain circumstances when the user engine is in use. After much experimentation, this is what I found. * I have an application that uses the login and user engines for permissions and security. The configuration works correctly. * I created a web service for the application. If I use direct dispatch (the default), I can both

SSOAP failing
Dear list, I am trying to use the SSOAP package to access a very simple SOAP service, included as a demonstrator in the axis2 Apache package: "Version" (takes no input parameters and should return a string with the version number). The web service itself seems to be working as I could access it using an other client (eclipse Web Server tester). You will find the service wsdl here:

ActionWebService and namespaces
Hi all, I''ve tried to search the mailing list, web, etc. and haven''t found anything that seems to answer my question. I have a WSDL for a web service written in Java, and I''m trying to consume it in ruby using ActionWebService. I''ve created my API and some struct classes. I''ve found the :namespace option to ActionWebService::Client::Soap.new, but

soapenc:base64 and xsd:base64Binary
Hello guys, I have a little mix in all those webservices and wsdl files and all this things, and I have maybe a strange question. I''m trying to consume webservice from different webservice implementation than ror. And I there is one thing from ror regenerated wsdl file. Method parameter defined by :base64 type is defined in wsdl as ''soapenc:base64''. My question is, why

SSOAP fails with .types[[1]] : subscript out of bounds
Hi, I am trying to create a BioMoby client in R using SSOAP. BioMoby is a normal SOAP web service, with request and response messages wrapped in BioMoby XML dialect. Since the particular WSDL I am having problems with is autogenerated and used similarly by *many* services, it would be quite important to a) fix SSOAP or b) fix the WSDL generator. I am a bit lost how to continue debugging

Newbie: Getting Book Data from Amazon
As part of my inaugural Ruby project, I''ve been trying to get data for books from Amazon''s web services. The first thing I tried was Ruby/Amazon <http://www.caliban.org/ruby/ruby-amazon.shtml>. It works great, but is based on an earlier version of Amazon''s Web Services, which apparently doesn''t return a complete set of data for the items it

routing problem 1.8.2/0.10.1/webrick?
I seem to have come to a strange problem getting started on rails. I had everything working in a virtual machine and then set up a seperate machine just for rails developement. It now seems something is broken a little. ruby 1.8.2, rails 0.10.1, postgres, using webrick: i created a table "users", then "generate scaffold User" view localhost/users works fine, shows the

Web service SOAP URLs started failing with 1.1.4 or using 1.1.2 security patch
Railers, I''m trying to figure out why invocations to my Web service URLs work with Rails 1.1.2 but fail both with Rails 1.1.4 (and 1.1.5) and when I apply the new 1.1.2 security patch to Rails 1.1.2. It looks like they are failing with SOAP clients but succeeding with XML-RPC clients. The URL that used to work is of the form http://localhost:3000/my_controller/ServiceName/api. When I

AWS WSDL Client Consumption
Has anyone had any great success in consuming web services from within ruby? I have had little to no problems publishing a WSDL based web service to the outside world from within ruby, however now I am attempting to consume the same ruby published web service with the AWS client back into ruby, and I am having problem after problem. Is there perhaps a help document or some manual that has a
