Battlefield Vietnam Fonts
Successfully installed Battlefield Vietnam at the second attempt, the first failing because I was camped on the CD drive with the terminal screen, preventing the first CD from being unloaded ... Ho hum! However, the screen text display is terrible ... but this was the case on XP until I loaded the right fonts that BV was expecting ... but I cannot remember which fonts, and I no longer install a

how to setup a simplest travel-mode read-only IMAP
Hi All,
I don't use gmail/hotmail etc...
I have been a Mozilla/SeaMonkey/Thunderbird user for ever now...
The mail and folders are all on my private fileserver.
But on certain tours, I do know in advance that I would like IMAP access
to my mail folders.
Nothing but the simplest read-only access to the years of accumulated email.
(All that email was soft-mounted onto /mnt/mail for safety and

Away for a week
Hey folks,
I''m off to Vietnam for a week on my way home to Australia so I''ll be
off the list for a while. Don''t think I''m ignoring you. When I get
back I intend to aggressively hunt down the segfault problem that some
of you are having in Ferret so that problem will soon be ancient
history. If anyone can narrow down a test case that can consistently
segfault it

Beginning R help?
Hi all,
I'm currently working through the "Beginner's Guide to R" (Zurr et al.) and
I'm wondering about the first exercise in chapter 3:
I imported the data from BirdFluCases.txt and executed the 'names' and 'str'
functions as follows:
Bird = read.table(file='C:\\rbook\\BirdFluCases2.txt', header=TRUE)

regex question
Hi,
I am getting stuck over an apparently simple problem in the use of regular expressions :
To collect together the first letters of the words from the Perl motto, ?There is more than one way to do it? in the following form ? TIMTOWTDI.
I tried the following code :

pxelinux efi64 boot woes on hyper-v gen 2
I'm trying to boot pxelinux from a hyper-v generation 2 (efi 64), but I keep getting
NBP Filename bootx64.efi
NBP Filesize 0 bytes and of course it doesn't boot from the startup screen
The thing is the tftpserver works fine with pxelinux.0 and bios mode, and I can use a unix tftp client to download bootx64.efi without any issues.

I would have a look at them. My guess is (I explain below why) that you
will see different agents for your multiple connections.

P.S. It's not this and I'm getting a PXE-E99 tftp failure "Unexepected Network Error", so I'll guess I'll need to investigate what kind of TFTP server makes hyper-v happy. Virtualbox, VmWare seem to have the same EFI boot code & output

extracting characteristics of datasets from data()
I can use data() to find the available datasets in a package, but I'd
like to extract and display some additional
information for each dataset than what is provided by data(), e.g.,
class() and dim() for datasets for which
these are available. I'm stuck on using using lapply properly with
objects, rather than the names of objects
that I get from data()
Example:
