Javascript - multiple select selectboxes
I am trying to populate a multiple select box using javascript, but am
having problems with the name. When I change the name to "codes[]" I
can''t get the javascript to find the form element, but without the [] on
the end, rails wont read all of the selected values.
Here is an example of the javascript working, but when you submit the
array is not passed across for the codes.

Template is missing 'show.rjs.rhtml' error in safari only?
I was able to solve this but want to understand why this fix works.
Solution:
Remove the format.js line from the respond_to block
the error i get when navigating to: /music;accept
Template is missing
Missing template script/../config/../app/views/music;accept.rjs.rhtml
Accept is an aspect of the music controller eg in routes.rb

i see a very strange behavior in safari when using prototype.js and
the pear HTML_TreeMenu
to reproduce get prototype.js (http://www.prototypejs.org/assets/

Safari and Inheritance.

Ajax errors in safari
I am implementing some AJAX features into a web forum, and one feature
works fine in Firefox and in IE, but it is choking in Safari. Safari
will send the request fine and the data will be stored in the DB, but
it is not responding correctly to the RJS that is being sent back.
Anybody notice issues with Safari parsing the javascript sent back to
the browser?

RJS, Safari, Error - DOM exception 7

Not new to Rails, but quite new to AJAX/RJS.
My app works perfectly in Firefox, but generates

Getting value of form using Ajax (and problems with Safari)

on the onchange event which changes it into a textarea form.

RJS templates, Safari 1.3
Hello,
I''m having a problem getting RJS templates working with Safari 1.3
(latest version available to OS X 10.3 and earlier). I''m using Rails
1.1.4, running on either linux or OS X.. same results.
My RJS pages work fine using Safari 2.0, IE and Firefox.. just not
Safari 1.3.
The twist is that the following RJS sites work fine in Safari 1.3:
