X100P Ireland Red Alarm (AR Tarzi)
Ahhh this could be my problem! I just checked which
wires on the RJ11 cable had a voltage across them and
it was the yellow and green (3 & 4?). From what
someone posted the other day it's supposed to be
Bumble Bee and Christmas Tree.
I did have to get a technician out to fix my line when
it was first installed because it was dead. Maybe he
wired it up incorrectly or maybe they just do it

com and dcom?
Hi all,
I was just looking over my "Python Programming on
Win32", and I saw how easy it was to implement COM
objects with Python.
Searching comp.lang.ruby and the RAA, I came across
Ralph Mason''s rubycom package, but the link appears to
be dead. If Ralph is no longer maintaining it, I
definitely think COM/DCOM support should be on our
list of things to work on as part of

Is there any way we can have fork execute at the point
that it''s called rather than at the top of the script?

Problem with X tunneling, su, and xauth
Hi all.
I'm trying to use ssh to connect from a PC (using TerraTerm with the
ssh add-in) to a Solaris 8 or Solaris 9 box (both running OpenSSH
3.7.1p2) to establish a session for X-forwarding. Everything works
great, until I use "su" to change to another account (such as root).
The su'd user doesn't seem to be able to authenticate properly to use
the X-tunnel.
I did a

X100P Ireland Red Alarm
Hi,
Has anyone got the X100P to work with an anlogue line
in the Republic of Ireland?
I have the X100P installed but zttool indicates a Red
Alarm status on the card. It is on its own interrupt
and I have tried different PCI slots but all to no
avail.
Are there any alternatives to the X100P that can work
with asterisk and are likely to work in Ireland?
Thanks,
Aaron

Subject: Re: X100P Ireland Red Alarm
Hi,
I suspected that I the analogue phone should have got
a pass through signal when the power was off to the
server, unfortunately it doesn't. I kept asking digium
support about that but they didn't give me an answer.
The problem is how do I identify whether the X100P is
incompatibel with the network or faulty without
possibly wasting another USD100???

iconnect register problem
I am trying to get my connection to IConnecthere.com
working. I didn't have a register command in sip.conf
at first, so I believe that is why it was not working.
However, I can't seem to get the register command
correct, it just keeps timing out. Below is what I
have:
register=<username>:<password>@natrelay.deltathree.com
I know that there is supposed to be

Can't reset password from windows 2000, or from the samba pdc. Error from samba pdc: machine 127.0.0.1 rejected the password change: Error was : RAP86: The specified password is invalid.
I have a samba pdc running 3.0.4. I have users
logging into the profile server and wanting to change
there password. However when they try to change the
password it asks them for the old and new password but
says they do not have permission to change the
password. I can change the password for them when I
log into the pdc as root but when I try to do it as
user it gives the error:

Traffic shaping questions and possible extensions
Hi,
It has been quite a while since I looked at what was happening in Linux
traffic shaping, so I am not sure if this has been discussed / improved
on since I last looked.
We use a traffic shaper based on HTB. The basic principals work fine,
but we have a problem with ''intermittent trafic'' like http and
interactive ssh sessions.
Each of these categories of traffic have

Salim,
Yes I do have permission to run the passwd command as
a local user, I can change the unix password just
fine. It is when I do the smbpasswd command that that
error comes up. Thanks for looking at this!

apcsmart question
Before I start any commits.
In patch 2/18 -
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2011-March/005299.html
Two "custom" commands slipped in: ups.firmware.old and
shutdown.return.grace. In 18/18 I tried to rename them and add
remainig commands for "hackish" shutdown methods, to make them easily
callable through e.g. upscmd (for example for testing).
Is it
