Dual Multipath DSL Script Problem!
Hello! I had found a script to multipath DSL connections: http://linux.com.lb/beta/index.pl?node=Load%20Balancing%20Across%20Multiple%20Links I have made some modifications, but in second part of this mail are some errors: __________________________________________________________________ First the script: __________________________________________________________________ #!/bin/bash #

Multipath Routing Problem
I currently have 4 DSL lines set up to load balance for my lan. The multipath works fine for connections the originate from the linux gateway (such as browsing the internet in KDE or using wget), but all the traffic from hosts on the lan is routed through only one of the DSL lines (as seen using ntop and ''ip route show cache'') . What would cause this to happen? Thanks Charlie

multipath routing
I have a private lan that is connected to the world via 3 dsl lines. I put up a linux box that handles all the dsl lines, lan gateway and all is working well...until...one of the dsl lines goes down. My routing table is: x.x.x.x dev ppp0 proto kernel scope link src x.x.x.x x.x.x.x dev ppp1 proto kernel scope link src x.x.x.x x.x.x.x dev ppp2 proto kernel scope link src x.x.x.x

equal cost multipath routing and incoming services...
We''re trying to figure out how to have equal cost multipath routing using OSPF (quagga) and have come up with the following... Has anyone done something similar? -- How do you deal with incoming services (mail/web/etc) in such a scenario as below - And does anyone have any suggestions? There''s more detail below.... Hi, So far, if have understand correctly: I route the incoming tcpip message of port 8099 directly to 8080 and then the ingress filter on port 8099 has nothing to do!? Yes I think on different interface on one machine (different Ports for different Request, with different restriction). What has exactly to be done to set the policier before Prerouting! Which kernel options, or also extra

Bandwith thinking error
Hi, I found that I had some thinking error with the wshaper script. I assigned the bandwith of my DSL connection to it, but the machine where it runs is normally connected to the LAN with 100Mbit behind a separate Hardware-Router.Obviously, the complete connection of the machine was slowed down to 384k because I told it so.I guess, since wshaper takes only one card as argument, I can''t

Multipath load balance issues
Hi All, I''ve configured a mutlipath as detailed in the HOWTO. For the most part it''s great, but when the cheap DSL line drops it''s connection, as it regularly does, the outbound routing doesn''t automatically use the remaining path for internal outbound traffic. Ip route show lists no default route once the default path dies, and if the ppp connection is

Hi, Thanks for the fast response, .)Okay I tried your suggestion for my port 8099 and nothing happened: The tcp ip information goes from a firewall to my port 8099 and this port is than routed to the original 8080, I do that because I don`t want to dirturb my port 8080. But it seams the ingress filter doesn`t work on it!! iptables -L -t nat Chain PREROUTING (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt

Re: LARTC Digest, Vol 7, Issue 7
Hi Andreas! I mainly understand what you mean, but best for me would be if you could make an example from the script I have. I know I did something wrong into it, but I still can''t see the error. If you could fix the error from my script that would be much appreciated. Looking forward to hear from you, Daniel Phlander lartc-request@mailman.ds9a.nl wrote: Send LARTC mailing list

multipath routing question
Hi All, I have a linux router, configured with two internet connections and two lan segments. I''ve setup multipath routing as described in http://lartc.org/howto/lartc.rpdb.multiple-links.html My problem (I think) is that somehow the router will randomly choose incorrect routing paths for different hosts, for example: on my workstation (192.168.1.20), I ssh to a server I have on an

Load-balancing with multipath routes (1 NIC + 2 GWs)
Greetings, I''m trying to set up some sort of load-balancing on a Linux (Trustix) gateway by using multipath routes, however I''m stuck with some problems. The idea is that this gateway (odd as it may seem) only has one external interface, which should route packets to two different gateways (Ciscos). The gateway''s external interface and the routers are all on the same

Multipath IP Masquerade
Previously I attempted load balancing between 3 interfaces with limited bandwidth but a common gateway with much more bandwidth using QoS and teql. This had little to know luck because routes never seemed to come out right. Someone pointed me in the direction of http://www.ssi.bg/~ja/nano.txt to try and set up a multipath route instead. After setting this up it seems that all of the routes are
