Question about limited primary addresses
I just realized that I hadn''t actually asked a question when I posted this before. Let me try again... I am trying to configure a Linux box with all possible VLANs (4094 of them), and a subnet on each VLAN. Creating the VLANs isn''t a problem. But, when I try to use "ip addr add ..." commands to assign an IP address to each VLAN interface, I get to do about 280 of

Memory Loading
Our system has potentially a few thousand firewall rules and HTB classes. I need to find out the amount of memory these things consume: - iptables firewall rules - HTB classes If anyone has any easy links to this information, that would be great. Failing that, a pointer to a good place to look in the source code would be very helpful. _______________________________________________

Errors with bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1e and asterisk cores
Hi, can anybody tell me what the errors mean and why my asterisk server falls from time to time. From time to time means several hours, not regularly. I also can provide a core if someone can debug? GSSAPI authentication setup
I'm setting up dovecot on a new box; and once again I find myself banging my head against GSSAPI authentication. The particularly irritating thing is that I have this working on another box. ?I've done my best to ape the configuration of that box; but it's been some years since I set it up and somewhere along the line I have failed. My dovecot.conf has: auth_mechanism = plain gssapi

selection of hinge function with restrictions, machine learning, earth package,
Hi, I have a few questions regarding machine learning packages in R, e.g. earth package and its forward pass and prunning pass, and hinge functions selection in the example below. 1) How could I force the algorithm to generate knots in hinge function only with values < 90 for e.g. variable doy? 2) Is it possible to restrict the algorithm to generate maximum number of terms per a selected

ACl issue with 3.014
Hi, We had Samba v 3.011 installed on Solaris 2.8. We upgraded to v3.014 and ran into the ACL issue where users can edit their files from Windows XP, but cannot delete or rename them. Is there a new parameter for this, or is it a known bug? If it is a bug, does 3.014a fix it? ip-cref and route nat.
Hello. The problem I have is route nat. Short question: Must "route nat", mentioned in ip-cref documentation comming with iproute2 package, work with 2.6.9 kernel? Long question and description of the problem: There is an appendix C in ip-cref by Alexey Kuznetsov called "Route NAT Status". I''ve followed this configuration with 2.4.2x kernel and everything works.

Boxplot in R
I am trying to draw a plot like Matlab does: The upper extreme whisker represents 95% of the data; The upper hinge represents 75% of the data; The median represents 50% of the data; The lower hinge represents 25% of the data; The lower extreme whisker represents 5% of the data. It looks like: --- 95% | | ------- 75% | | |-----| 50% | | | | -------

Asterisk / PRI and Outbound Overlap Dialing
I am trying to setup Asterisk to act like a PBX connected via a PRI gateway to a voice netowrk where Asterisk is doing outbound overlap dialing for calls that terminate via that PRI. AFter researching through the archives and online dcocs, I thought I had everyting setup right, dialplan configured for '_X!' and the 'overlapdial=yes' in the chan_dahdi.conf file, but when I try and

FW: IPcortex: ERROR[23444] chan_zap.c: You cannot use cause 17 number when in state 6
Update: I can reproduce the error by putting the reception phone (call queue 0) in Do Not Disturb mode, then call in from outside using a mobile, then pick up the call from the 2nd phone in the queue. It will cause the error only if I hang up _before_ the mobile hangs up. The error doesn't seem to happen if the external call hangs up, or if the call is answered by the reception phone (first

Bandwith problem
I recently suffer badly from low bandwith. At first I thought it was my Linux box, but after tracing the problem it turns out it was the ammount of double posts I get from Patrick Turley... :) Isn''t there a way to block mail.rocksteady.com? It seems the mail originates from 10.50.23.3, and is forwarded by this host (which would make sense). Greetz -- Jurrie

boxplots
Dear R user group, I am working with boxplots and cannot solve the following problem: > data<-c(0,15,0,60,0,0,0,0,0,60,60,0,60,0,30,0) > data [1] 0 15 0 60 0 0 0 0 0 60 60 0 60 0 30 0 > boxplot(data) The boxplot has the first hinge and the mean-bar both at 0... Why is this the mean is clearly >0! Thanking you and wishing you an excellent day, Georg.

Pri-Debug-Log / Is Early Media supported by provider?
Hi, I tried to use Early Media: exten => 1,1,Playback(demo-thanks,noanswer) same => n,Hangup() But when calling my extension I do not hear the voicefile - I only hear the ring tone. In the Asterisk-Log I can see, that the voicefile is played. I got the same result when using "Progress()" in the first priority. I tried "pri set debug on span 1" and got the

ocfs2console is slow
Ever since we have installed OCFS2, we have had extremely slow performance in the ocfs2console. It can take us over 30 minutes to do the simplest tasks. We do not have this type of performance with other xwindows applications on our server. Does anyone have any performance improvement suggestions for the ocfs2console? Thanks, Reid
