maximal dataset size
Hi, there, I am using PC window version R and dealing with big dataset usually. May anyone let me whether the maximal dataset size in R is limited by computer memory or hard drive capacity? does dovecot interpret any mail headers specially with maildir?
Hi. For mbox, http://wiki2.dovecot.org/MailboxFormat/mbox#Dovecot.27s_Metadata lists a numer of mail headers: - X-IMAPbase - X-IMAP - X-UID - Status - X-Status - X-Keywords - Content-Length that are treated specially by dovecot. It also suggests, that these should be stripped by the LDA (I guess in order that someone sending you such mail cannot set the status or keywords, or even "attack

AW: constructing specially ordered factor
Hi Dimitris, thank you for your reply, > does the following work in your data: > > levs <- unique.default(Names) > factor(Names, levs[order(unique.default(Weights))]) your solution is really shorter, but has two issues to be meant here: 1. "unique.default" is applied twice, what might be a bit expensive for strings. 2. your solution brings an implicit

How to define specially nested functions
Dear All, I would like to define a function: f(x,y,z) with three arguments x,y,z, such that: given values for x,y, f(x,y,z) is still a function of z and that I am still allowed to find the root in terms of z when x,y are given. For example: f(x,y,z) = x+y + (x^2-z), given x=1,y=3, f(1,3,z)= 1+3+1-z is a function of z, and then I can use R to find the root z=5. Thank you. -Chee [[alternative

[LLVMdev] LLVM backend: Treat some function calls specially
Jonas, Why not lower everything to a single call during instruction selection, and then write a machine function pass that translates the normal CALL's into CALL_NATIVE? [LLVMdev] LLVM backend: Treat some function calls specially
Hello, I am writing an LLVM backend that generates byte code for a custom virtual machine. Standard function calls are lowered to a simple CALL $offsetInByteCode This works fine so far using the standard machinery of LLVM. But some functions are not implemented in byte code, but delegated to native implementations within the VM. Calls to these functions use a non-standard calling convention
