How to get device name with device id?
Hi all,
I want to open a device(/dev/sda1, /dev/hda2 etc) in which my file exists.
I've used 'stat' system call to get the device id.
But now I want the device name from this id(st_dev).
How to get that one?
Or
Do you have any other method to know the device name where my file resides?
Thanks

Re: winecfg Audio tab crash - OS X Snow Leopard
Evelyn Brent's life and career were going quite well in 1928. Following her divorce from producer Bernard Fineman, she was happily living with writer Dorothy Herzog. The couple was often seen enjoying lunch at the Montmartre Caf9, and Brent had recently had a cabin built in the San Bernardino Mountains. The tiny brunette actress had wowed film fans and critics with recent appearances in the

NHW Project - some results
Hello,
Just a quick message to let you know that I get back to NHW Project
currently.
I downloaded 20 images from the Internet with rather good quality (mainly
faces), I compressed them at high compression -l7 setting with the NHW
Project, and on 19 images out of 20, I visually prefer the results of NHW
compared to x265 (HEVC)!!! -I can make available these 20x3=60 512x512

Re: [vorbis] Finally, it can be told!
Hello,
Do you mean that you need someone to write some code to output sound with waveOut or just to port over libao to win32? Outputing with waveOut in windows is simple enough. I could probably work something out if you like, but I'm away from my computer until Monday night. If that's what you need I'd be glad to help out and write a driver. Unfortunatly I'll need to take a

Finally, it can be told!
The reason I have been being very nosy, yet very secretive.

This is a Python (http://www.python.org/) module that can be use to read files
in the Ogg Vorbis format, using the same interface as defined in the wave and
sunau modules.
At the moment it only supports reading Vorbis files, and I've only really
tested it under Linux. Please feel free to download

config.log told me to report these (PR#12035)
Hello r-bugs,
I am running openSuse 11.0, with my new Intel 8500 (Penryn) C2D, and I want to use icc and ifort.
I was able to get a working Goto BLAS, following Dr. Goto's instructions.
That seems to work OK with gcc and gfortran.
I get about 10% faster computations by using -O3 rather than -O2.
I get faster results with Goto BLAS rather than the R BLAS.
Now I want to make icc and ifort

Mac Mini and chan_bluetooth, has anyone told The o if it works?
I googled on this for about an hour and the most relevant hit I got was, of
course, the first hit:
http://www.sowerbutts.com/linux-mac-mini/#support
In it, he indicates that the stock Bluetooth module "should work, but
untested" - he doesn't qualify the statement with anything. Has anyone tried
chan_bluetooth or even the Bluz stack on a Mini or a G5? If so, under Linux
or OSX?

British Pound character in error messages
some of my validation error messages contain a pound sign (the British
currency, not #)
however, this get''s shown as a question mark in the view. i can get round it
by using the html reference (£) instead of the literal character, but
it seems a little counter-intuitive to handle this in the model... isn''t it
view related?
any suggestions? I''m developing

Map of British Colonial America 1775
Does anyone have suggestions about how to produce a map of British
Colonial America 1775? At that time, Great Britain had 26 colonies in
the Americas, including Bermuda, several Caribbean islands, "Quebec"
(extending then almost to New Orleans), Nova Scotia, Newfoundland,
Belize, and the 13 that declared independence in 1776.
I've reviewed the "map"
