IPCop updates, Evolution Calendar rarely crashes now
I know a lot of you are using IPCop where you work. They have three
(3) updates posted, during the past two (2) days. The last one, I'm
getting an error, when I try to Download it, and I will report that to
the IPCop list or bugzilla after I send this message.
"No such file or directory

6TB SCSI RAID vs. Centos
I have an Infortrend RAID box I'd like to see as one big 6TB partition,
but I only can get 2.2TB partitions to work. I was trying to do this
with an Adaptec controller but apparently they are only (any of them) 48
bits wide. Does anybody have a working system for SCSI/Centos over
2.2TB?

Connecting to dovecot
Hi All,
I've got a brand new dovecot installation. I'm new to dovecot, so please be gentle :-)
Anyway,
I'm getting some errors when I try to connect to dovecot. I've tried
searching the web and haven't been able to find a lot of information.
Here's the config info:
# dovecot --version
1.1.2
# dovecot -n
sudo dovecot -n
# 1.1.2: /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf

Network and default route
I have had this problem on and off since RedHat 6, and I always worked through
it, but I thought I would ask.
When you have multiple network interfaces, how does the system determine the
default route?
Or is it the first, (or last) interface that comes up?
On the problem systems I have to add a "route add default..." statement in
some systems in the rc.local to get them to work right.

Export restrictions on CentOS 5
What are the export restrictions on CentOS 5.x? Since it's a rebuild of
RHEL I'd suspect it has similar restrictions to what Red Hat has
outlined at the following page:
http://www.redhat.com/licenses/export/
Is this correct? Thanks in advance.

OT: Suggestions for database for physicians patient records?
This is very OT. If list readers can point me in the right direction, to
other mailing lists, or web sites for recommended databases, that will
be much appreciated!
My wife's doctor wants to move records, for approximately 6000 patients
(over a 12 year period), from paper (18th century) to a database (20th
century). The data entry will be a PITA, for his secretaries, regardless

Live CD?
I just used a Live CD for the first time today, in part to show what
CentOS can do for a co-worker who is looking at using it at work and
home, but I got the strangest result.
We booted the CD and let the centos user log in. It took a really
long time to load the desktop and there were no panels, so the only
things we could do were browse the computer, CD, home, file system,
keyboard (sort of)

Moving from RAID 0 to LVM RAID?
So I've learned a valuable RAID 0 lesson, and it fortunately was not a major
catastrophy. I got lucky, and had a workable-enough backup on tape to make the
user who needed some data happy.
Now, from the OS side, LVM is an option. Say the RAID controller only allows
hardware striping or mirroring for logical volumes, but I want to use more than
two disks, and I don't want the RAID 0
