A newbie question
This issue may sounds trivial
I need to build a Router for send Internet + VoIP traffic.
The computers are in a different network that the Phone Gateway.
The Computers are going to be send to a 3 Mbps connection using OSPF, in the
meantime the phones are going to be send to a T1 using OSPF too.
The routing software is going to be Zebra.

Zebra, Routing ...
Before I start, I don''t want to do ECMP or simple bonding ...
I have multiple Internet connections available to multiple boxes on one
of my networks.
Box A connects to ISPs 1, 2 and 3
Box B connects to ISPs 1 and 4
Boxes A and B are both connected to each other and the rest of the
network.

Using zebra
Hello
Anyone used Zebra routing daemon and created virtual routers
before? Is it possible to run OSPF/BGP on each virtual server and get
them to talk to each other?
I''m new to Xen and I need to know... I will be trying this out in the
coming days and I want to know about any pitfalls to avoid.

Shorewall and multicast
Hi, all!
Can I enable multicasting via shorewall?
I have router with Gentoo Linux (one interface to ISP, one with alises - to
local network). Shorewall work perfect!
But now I need setup Quagga (zebra) for dynamic routing between one more
router via another provider.
All routers daemons (zebra, ripd, ospf) used multicasting.
In my configuration already enabled allowBcast and etc.

LAN A is my primary (external) LAN. LAN B is my wireless LAN. LAN A does
iBGP and OSPF routing. Each wireless router does the following:
2 Bridged Ethernet + STP connections to LAN A
2 Bridged Ethernet + STP connections to LAN B
2 VLANs on LAN A
5 VLANs on LAN B

OSPF problems
I have a fairly simply laid out network that could easily use static routing. However, I
plan to expand quickly and don''t wish to spend the better part of my life maintaining
static routes.

policy routing with two shorewalls
I have, for the time being, decided to split my dual ISP/single
shorewall connection into two shorewall connections/boxes, each handling
one ISP.
I am running OSPF in the network and so far things are working out
fairly well (from a client of the two gateways).
$ ip route ls

FW: G.726 on Asterisk 1.4.0
Ok,
With everything restore on rtp.c, still I have no audio however the call is
not destroyed immediately as before.
I'm going to put a second Granstream box, and findout if between two boxes
this happen too.
I cannot believe that we cannot do 2 g726 on the same box at one time.

BGP + shorewall on multiISP env.
Hi list,
My network was assigned a private AS and my ISP(4) urged me to use BGP !
My Other 3 providers on my Shorewall BOX are typical aDSL lines while
the 4th is an 1G optical uplink with 64 addresses.
Currently I am in a balance, track mode in shorewall ISP setup..
After I installed - configured and started zebra + bgp my static
routing tables got filled with about 850 static routes to

Problem with trafic shapping and openvpn
I''m using shorewall with openvpn and traffic shaping at all of our offices.
I have noticed for a while that occasionally ping times are excessive. Usually
this is during overnight off site backups but some times during the day.
I have assumed the is was an ISP issue but now I''m suspecting it''s problem
with openvpn and traffic shaping.
In the test case have 2 sites

Remote SIP Connection using Asterisk // Cisco7940's
Yes, I can call the phones, they ring, etc, and call call out, just no outbound audio. Is their any difference in the inbound & outbound audio streams in Asterisk that could cause it, e.g., different ports, protocols, connection/discovery methods, etc?
Thanks,
Ross

zebra bgp and shorewall
Hi,
I plan to implement a redundant Internet connection using BGP on 2
different Linux Routers. The routing daemon software I will be using is
Zebra (zebra.org).
I''m wondering if I should have my Linux firewall behind the 2 BGP routers,
or could I keep the shorewall on both BGP routers?
Has anyone had any experience with this?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Sam

HTB.init for zebra BGP
Hi,
I have successfully shape bandwidth using htb.init using ip address , but
when i try to shape zebra BGP using their ip address and BGP port it can''t
match the class for BGP and always get the default class.
Here''s my htb.init script in the bridge :
