Symlink to directories seem recursively for Microsoft Workgroup Add-On for MS-DOS clients
I use Samba 3.0.23d at FreeBSD 4.11-RELEASE-p25 as PDC and sometimes Microsoft Workgroup Add-On for MS-DOS and Mail as client. At FreeBSD box I have directory /common/install/postgreSQL and symlink to it: /usr/export/XP/i386/\$oem\$/install/postgreSQL -> /common/install/postgreSQL The path /usr/export/XP shared for MS Network as XP and mount via net use X: \\my_server\XP. So files and

Determing the pfifo backlog
Greetings -- in the "Linux Advanced Routing & Traffic Control HOWTO" chapter 14.1 on bfifo/pfifo it says that: "you can use this qdisc to determine the backlog on your interface". But it does not say exactly how. Command [#tc -s qdisc ls] outputs the number of packets sent so far but it does not output any info about the backlog. My first question is whether a command

APPDB now appears to be working at normal acceptable speed for administrator login's + backlog of APPDB data requiring approval.
Thanks go out to whoever it was that fixed the AppDB so that it's now running nice and quick again. I can now login and submit applications/tests etc. There's a backlog of 500+ submissions which will take 2-4 hours to clear, hopefully this should be cleared within the next few days. Nick

CentOS 4 update backlog
There are security updates upstream for CentOS (4 and 5) and it looks like the CentOS 5 ones have been rebuilt and rolled out. How come the CentOS 4 branch lags behind, or are the CentOS 5 devs different from the CentOS 4 devs? If more volunteers are needed I'm sure assistance could be offered by the CentOS community. Regards, Vandaman.

can't install 1.0.3
Hello list, I have been running Asterisk CVS for a good while. When I try to install 1.0.3, asterisk won't start. Below are the last few lines of output before Asterisk crashes. I ran "make samples" to start with a fresh setup. [app_read.so] => (Read Variable Application) == Registered application 'Read' [app_alarmreceiver.so] => (Alarm Receiver for Asterisk) ==

ZyXEL Prestige 200w - should I return it ?
Hi all I have just got a P2000w and experience several problems. Hopefully there is someone out there that has got it working. I saw it on Cebit and the person demonstrating it there told me that it was connected to an Asterisk server on the stand -so it should work. Problem 1: it does not register correctly It get lots of messages like this: Jun 26 19:45:19 NOTICE[1107585968]: chan_sip.c:5630

How to make sure self-heal backlog is empty ?
Mine also has a list of files that seemingly never heal. They are usually isolated on my arbiter bricks, but not always. I would also like to find an answer for this behavior. -----Original Message----- From: gluster-users-bounces at gluster.org [mailto:gluster-users-bounces at gluster.org] On Behalf Of Hoggins! listen backlog patch
Hello Icecast-dev, I am new to this list. I am working for the NPO, the Dutch Public Broadcasting agency. We do a lot of icecast streaming. We run at least 20 icecast server instances on our media streaming cluster. We ran into an issue that clients which where connecting to our streams seemed to be 'hanging' on the connection setup frequently. The client 'thinks' it is

How to make sure self-heal backlog is empty ?
Hello list, I'm not sure what to look for here, not sure if what I'm seeing is the actual "backlog" (that we need to make sure is empty while performing a rolling upgrade before going to the next node), how can I tell, while reading this, if it's okay to reboot / upgrade my next node in the pool ? Here is what I do for checking : for i in `gluster volume list`; do

Hi Thomas, I don't know if you like top or bottom quoting. That seems to be a big-little endian thing ;-) So, I will top quote and inline quote. Please see my comments inline, below. Merge, Compact Ofuscate or Compress Javascript Lib ?
Hi !, A little question about JS Lib manipulation... - I found that DOJO toolkit gives a DOJO Compressor jar file to compress JavaScript http://dojotoolkit.org/docs/compressor_system.html - On the other hand there''s no docs in Prototype or Scriptaculous and prototype files are merged. Why ??? 1. Compacting file will reduce bandwidth but is it useful with a server that gzip .js ? 2.

size of template file
Hi, How big a template file can be? When I tested with a kind of large file (about 23KB, 570 lines), puppetmasterd ended up with a segmentation fault. Then I made the file shorter than original (about 6KB, 145 lines), the file was created but it is shorter than it should be. What I have is just 3994 bytes and 80 lines. Replacing the string is done correctly. I would like to know the limit of
