Binding to Tun0 device
Hello all,
We have a few aliased Ethernet addresses on our server and if I do not
use the Bind statement in the "Global" section then the NMBD seems to
try to bind to all of the addresses.
We are actually using OpenVPN which make the connections just fine on a
172.16.x.x subnet to "tun0" device.
The problem is that Samba does not seem to find the tun0 device and

Samba 3.6.23 (IBM version), Windows AD at the functional 2003 level
My apologies (again!) for asking about this old, venerable release.
The client is upgrading to 4.10 or 4.11 in early December.
The AIX server was joined to a functional Windows 2000 domain in 2015.
The AD server has since been upgraded to functional Windows Server 2003
sometime since.
They have 2 AD servers - primary is Joe, secondary is Jane.

I am new to shorewall and fedora/linux. I would like requests to public IP 80.x.x.211 to be redirected to internal IP

3. There may be also other Master servers im the given subnet.
Now I want to permit DNS NOTIFY messages to

Perhaps someone with a sharper brain than I can solve this little mystery.

tried several iptables rule combinations but just can't get the following to

gre/ipsec loadbalancing
Hi, I have the following setup. Two linux systems with two [test] external interfaces encrypted with ipsec [transport].
Two gre tunnels that pass 10.200.0.0/24 and 10.200.1.0/24 network traffic.
Testing the balanced tunnels I would setup iptraf on one and ping from the other. The results would be as expected; traffic would be split between the two interfaces.

ip route nat madness.
Hello list.
I may become crazy without your help. I''m not nubie, but...
All worked with 2.4 kernel, but when I have to move to 2.6.8.1 it''s not.
I''m using "ip route nat 231.222.222.111 via 172.16.1.13" to substitute inet address 231.222.222.111 on 172.16.1.13 during routing. Look at the output:

httpd permissions question
I'm using yum-pull for creating a local yum repo. I have a non-root user
that runs the script and the files are stored in that user's home
directory. I'm trying to make that directory available with httpd. The
user owns all the files and subdirs and the rights on all the files is:
-rw-r--r--
I added this to the bottom of httpd.conf and restarted httpd.
