Hello Spork,
Thank you very much for your great help!
So ok, let's create a website for the NHW Project! Anyone who wants to help
is very welcome! Do you want we start first with wix.com or rather from
nearly scratch? I think from scratch would be better as we can really do

Ruby Skype Bot
See: http://ianconnor.blogspot.com/2006/06/ruby-skype-bot.html<http://ianconnor.blogspot.com/2006/06/ruby-skype-bot.html%5B/code%5D>
For use with Rails, would it be best to just have it running in a window on
the same machine or is there a feature in the rails framework that allows
you to trigger a process like this that would just be around until the
server shutdown?

Weird stylesheet_link_tag issue after moving servers
Dear experts,
I am in the process of switching servers for my application.
Before the move everything was working properly.
After the move
<%= stylesheet_link_tag ''/stylesheets/styles.css'' %>
generates
<link href="//stylesheets/styles.css" media="screen" rel="Stylesheet" type="text/css" />

NHW Project - Image comparison
Hello,
Could some of you take a look at the image comparison between the NHW
Project and x265 (HEVC) at high compression, available here:
http://nhwcodec.blogspot.com/ .
I would be very very interested in your opinion, and it would help me to
perfect the NHW Project. For me the NHW Project has more neatness, and x265
has more precision.
Else, I was a little lazy these past months, as I

Hello,
First I have added a link on my demo blog page to Google Drive for the
image comparison folder of NHW and x265 on rather good quality images. But
be sure, as soon as you have sent me a free alternative host, I will upload
there too!
Link (for now) on: http://nhwcodec.blogspot.com/
Do not hesitate to let me know if you would share the opinion that NHW is
globally better than x265 (HEVC) at

Ruby Hacker Interview: Dave Balmain
Guess Dave wasn''t going to blow his own trumpet so someone else has to
do it for him. An interesting interview with Dave that filled in the
gaps on the About Me page I had asked about...

Rspec/Ruby to test software written in other languages?
Is anyone here using Rspec and Ruby to test software written in other
languages? I''m about to start an R language project, and may also be
doing some work in another language (I''m not sure which one yet, but
it''s one of the ones that''s part of the Axiom symbolic math package).
I''d dearly love a test framework that can handle all three languages,

Ruby on AIX?
I have managed to compile Ruby on AIX 5.3 and have run my application
successfully on it. I have to go thru some series of simple steps to
achieve the same. I have tried to document the same for the benefit

It''s that time again. Tuesday at 7PM, in room 120 of the TMCB.
(That would be the Talmage Mah and Computer science Building
at BYU.)
It should be a great chance to hang out and have some fun with

ruby column at linux Journal
Better Late Than *Reeeally* Late:
Last week''s Ruby column was posted at Linux Journal last night. There
appears to be a bit of editorial flux there right now, so markup and
scheduling are all a bit weird, but I hope to get things straightened out
in time for next weeks column. In addition to news from around the
Ruby world, I''ve included a quick overview of the rubyGems and
