one server with 4 port ethernet interfaces to four clients.
Dear all,
I have a server with 4 ethernet port interfaces. Also, I have four clients
that will connected directly (cross-cable) to one-by-one of each port
ethernet interfaces of my server.

netmask 255.255.255.255 vs ip route add via ... (bug?)
Greetings routing folks,
I want to use the netmask 255.255.255.255 to insulate (not quite
isolate) machines on a shared subnet from each other. This works
just fine on win XP, but Linux iproute will not acccept the
gateway address in one step -- neither on the command line nor
via DHCP:
Here''s the interface, set up with a netmask of /32:
# ip addr

gluster peer probe failing
Hi,
I have tried on my host by setting corresponding ports, but I didn't see
the issue on my machine locally.
However with the logs you have sent it is prety much clear issue is related
to ports only.
I will trying to reproduce on some other machine. Will update you as s0on
as possible.
Thanks

LAN hosts not reachable
Me and my son are running Tinc over 5 nodes, 3 of them got public address
and we using them as server. Each node has its own Lan subnet 192.168.0.0/24.
Originally we ran network on Openwrt routers with Tinc many years without
any problem, but due to limited RAM on routes and change of one router to
not Openwrt supported model, we decided to transfer Tinc installation on
Raspberry Pi-s in LAN.

gluster peer probe failing
Hi,
I am able to recreate the issue and here is my RCA.
Maximum value i.e 32767 is being overflowed while doing manipulation on it
and it was previously not taken care properly.
Hence glusterd was crashing with SIGSEGV.
Issue is being fixed with "
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1454418" and being backported
as well.
Thanks
Gaurav

Thanks Gaurav!
1. Any time estimation on to when this fix would be released?
2. Any recommended workaround?
Best,
Guy.

Register Free Opensips/Asterisk Integration
Hello Everyone,
I have gone through a few really good tutorials from the OpenSIPS
site, Asterisk resources etc.. The unanswered question (and final
piece of our puzzle) is if it's possible to have a register free
environment in an OpenSIPS/Asterisk integration. Most approaches have
OpenSIPS relay the UA's REGISTER request to Asterisk which has
"host=dynamic" set for the

Does anyone have a working proxyARP setup?
If you have a working proxyARP setup, will you please post it?
I''ve tried to insert a Linux box between the DSL connection and the
switch, but I''m getting nowhere. Everything works correctly when all
the servers in this network use the switch to get to the DSL. Any box
directly connected to the DSL also works correctly.

gluster peer probe failing
Hi,
I have a gluster (version 3.10.2) server running on a 3 node (centos7) cluster.
Firewalld and SELinux are disabled, and I see I can telnet from each node to the other on port 24007.
When I try to create the first peering by running on node1 the command:
gluster peer probe <node2 ip address>
I get the error:
"Connection failed. Please check if gluster daemon is operational."

gluster peer probe failing
https://review.gluster.org/#/c/17494/ will it and the next update of 3.10
should have this fix.
If sysctl net.ipv4.ip_local_reserved_ports has any value > short int
range then this would be a problem with the current version.
Would you be able to reset the reserved ports temporarily to get this going?

Question about bridge configuration on the host and virtual machine side.
I am not able to correctly configure xen so that the virtual machine can
access the network. Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Apache + mod_evasive : problem with test.pl
Hi,
I'm currently experimenting with the mod_evasive module for Apache, to
protect the server against potential DoS attacks. Here's what I did so far.
# yum install mod_evasive
Don't touch mod_evasive's default configuration, just restart Apache.
# systemctl restart httpd
The package includes a test.pl script supposed to launch a testing DoS
attack. Unfortunately this

Thanks, but my current settings are:
net.ipv4.ip_local_reserved_ports = 30000-32767
net.ipv4.ip_local_port_range = 32768 60999
meaning the reserved ports are already in the short int range, so maybe I misunderstood something? or is it a different issue?
