[SUMMARY] Rails Core Weekly June 5 - June 11
Dear list, This weeks RCW has a slightly different format than before. After all, since what we want is less bloat, this RCW is less verbose. Please do let me know what you think off-list. *Interesting stuff on the Rails Timeline* _Fixed and commited to trunk:_ An issue with not null columns in SQLite3 migrations(<a

Enumerable sum oddity
Hi. In this setup "account has_many :consultations". Can anyone explain the following behaviour to me? Rails 1.2.2. The "sum" method should return 0 for an empty array. >> a = Account.find(1) => #<Account:0x39c80a8 @attributes={...} >> a.consultations => [] >> a.consultations.sum(&:foo) ArgumentError: wrong number of arguments (1 for 2)

FastCGI processes sometimes ''hang''
I am running a RoR application on Apache 1.3/RedHat 7.3/MySQL 3.1.23 (Old versions I know, but upgrading to latest versions are not practical for a number of reasons). There are 5 RoR FastCGI processes configured using FastCgiServer. What I am finding is that, after a while, some of the FastCGI processes seem to ''hang''. They no longer process requests, and the only way to

problem with kerberos (I think)
Hi all, I've got some problems to make work oVirt. I've installed a Fedora 10 VM the lightest possible (nothing checked, even based) and installed after some packages (wget, sudo, acpid,...) and updated the system. By the way, acpid should be a dependency of ovirt-installer because the installation fails if it's not available. I've then installed ovirt (ovirt-server-installer

Cucumber + Selenium: Programmatically Starting a Test Server
Hi All, I am trying to learn BDD using the Cucumber framework, and am integrating Selenium for client side tests. I''ve been playing with refactoring my cucumber installation a bit, and have pulled the code to start the selenium server out into a profile-configuration file, similar to env.rb: # start selenium server @@browser = Selenium::SeleniumDriver.new("localhost", 4444,

Set the grid.layout programmatically?
Hello all: Does anyone know if the grid layout function can be set dynamically? For example if I have a column that will be changing as new data is added monthly I would like grid to detect the new data and create another row or column for the new plot on the same window instead of adding the new layout manually. The code below shows a grid.layout of hardcoded two rows and two columns. Thanks

Need help on how to programmatically call an extension & test call state
I would be grateful if someone could tell me where to find the docs to get started on the following problem: A program needs to be written to place a SIP call to a certain extension on another Asterisk system, and see whether the call state ratchets up to "ringing", then drop, and take action on the results. Can anyone refer me to the appropriate starting point to read up on this?

how to programmatically undefine and redefine a Domain?
Hello, I'm facing some strange behavior, and I hope you can provide a clarification. Consider the following code: virDomainPtr dom = virDomainLookupByName(virt, domain_name); if (dom) { printf("domain already defined...\n"); if (virDomainUndefine(dom)) printf("...unable to undefine!!!\n"); else {

[LLVMdev] Programmatically setting command line options?
Hello, Is there currently a way to set options, like -time-passes or -regalloc from C++? I looked at the code in lib/Support/CommandLine.cpp, but the stuff that comes closest to providing such functionality (mostly GetOptionInfo()) is marked static. Thanks, Paul

[LLVMdev] Programmatically converting LLVM IR to native code
I am generating LLVM IR code and I would like to convert this IR code to native code using the LLVM C++ API. This would be very similar to what's done in the Kaleidoscope tutorial, but instead of relying on JIT compilation, I'd like to emit native code -- the same native code that's produced by llc, for instance. I'm sure this is possible, but I wasn't able to find the

Anyone done the Cisco 7960 FW migration path programmatically?
Has anyone out there scripted the rollthrough migration of the Cisco firmware? It would be fantastic if there was an app that would generate a set of templated .CNF and XML files based on the MAC addys entered, then control and present your .BIN images through TFTP. It could then also send the reboot signal too, walking through the oh-so-ridiculous path from 3.2 (which every 7960 I've
