tc + zebra/quagga
I have some problem with traffic shaping on debian testing. I actually posted
a full config on the list a while ago but didn''t get any answers.
The problem is that traffic doesn''t get into the user classes (~150) when I
associate a class with a qdisc. I tried sfq, fifo but none works. If I dont''t
associate a qdisc with a class classification occurs well.

can I use tos and fwmark at the same time?
Hello lartc maintainers and users!
I have a router with two NICs. One NIC is connected to the Internet and the other to my internal LAN. I made a script for priorizing interactive traffic. The script matches TOS Minimize-Delay for priorizing interactive trafic, and fwmark for metropolitan packets.
I have two root classes (simulating two circuits) : 1:1 for internet and 1:3 for metropolitan.

IPV4 is nearly depleted, are you ready for IPV6?
Seeing as IPV4 is near it's end of life
(http://www.internetnews.com/infra/article.php/3915471/IPv4+Nearing+Final+Days.htm),
I'm curios as who know whether everyone is ready for the changeover to
IPV6?
Is anyone using it in production already, and what are your experiences with it?

HTB is losing packets ?
Hello all,
I have using htb for last 10-12 months to manage the bandwidth share.
Until last month everything was ok, but now after a kernel upgrade (from
2.4.20 to 2.4.26 because a kernel bug that generate a oops) the Linux router
is droping packets. It is weird because the "tc -s class ls dev eth1" (in the
class I monitor) reports no packet drop, the "tc -s qdisc ls dev

DID VoIP trunk provider for metro Chicago, LA and/or Orlando.
I am looking for a provider that will provide an equivalent of DID/DOD
trunks via IAX, IAX2 or SIP using numbers in Metro Chicago (prefer
Skokie), LA (prefer West Hollywood or Venice), and/or Orlando (prefer
Winter Garden). If I can migrate some of my existing numbers using LNP,
that would be even better, but it is not a requirement.
While I know that there are several companies that will

HFSC and prioritization
I''m using HFSC to limit bandwidth for our wireless customers. However,
I''d also like the bandwidth prioritized based on packet type. This is
what I''m trying right now, and I''d just like some input from anyone out
there knowledgeable in this on whether it does what I want it to do:
Eth1 -> HFSC

Can I block dovecot from deleting read messages, after being fetched?
Hi all,
Is there an option to disable (server-side) the deletion of read mails
after fetching them via POP3, regardless of the MUA config?
Here are the issues I'm facing:
- my boss wants to force everyone into a server-side "no delete
message"-policy, for archiving, auditing and backup&recovery purposes
- the requisite here is pop3, so imap is out
- the mailusers

[RFC PATCH v1 00/34] VM introspection - EPT Views and Virtualization Exceptions
This patch series is based on the VM introspection patches
(https://lore.kernel.org/kvm/20200721210922.7646-1-alazar at bitdefender.com/),
extending the introspection API with EPT Views and Virtualization
Exceptions (#VE) support.
The purpose of this series is to get an initial feedback and to see if
we are on the right track, especially because the changes made to add
the EPT views are not small

iproute2 + iptables - match the connection time or packets sent/recieved
Hello,
I setup iproute2 and iptables on my box, is a P4 2000 Ghz / 1GB memory.
I have setup squid and iptables to be a transparent proxy, with cache.
I''ve read on lartc.org almost everything and i want to ask if there is a u32
match for the connection time or something like that, or an u32 match for
the packet number in a connection.
All i want to do is shape the web traffic for long

I''m interested to write rules direct in Kernel space memory and not to
execute the tc command. Have anyone done this before ? Any ideas ?
Sources ?
Thank you,

Linux HA may not be the best choice in your situation. High Availability using 2 sites
Just to clarify, I'm looking at this from an application layer Point of
View. One of the reasons why I'm looking at it that way, is because Tim
said he was looking at LinuxHA..."application level" redundancy that
uses IP.
Tim, just to let you know, I don't believe that LinuxHA will work in the
way you described, only because of the different IP ranges. It looks

------- Additional Comments From fhagur@gmail.com 2007-04-17 05:04 MET -------
I have been wondering about this bug and had similar problems myself here in my
Debian system, linux-kernel 2.6.18 iptables 1.3.6.
I too saw that some packets became transmitted illegally through the ppp0
interface, when they just shoudn't.
