upgrading iproute2
Hi.
I have Fedora core 1 (kernel 2.4.22) and I downloaded
http://developer.osdl.org/dev/iproute2/download/iproute2-2.6.7-ss040608.tar.gz
Before upgrading, tc -V shows "iproute2-ss020116", and after shows the
same.
I had a lot of errors during install (make and make install).
Is this lastest version for kernel 2.4?
How can I upgrade??
Thanks a lot.

This is my first msg in this list, and I´d

I already compiled the kernel with the options to

ftp://ftp.inr.ac.ru/ip-routing/ and try to compile it,
I got too many errors. Here goes the output:

Woohoo! Finally, an answer which just happened to point
me in the right direction. Also, I spent a little more
time scouring through the compile errors.

iproute2 updates, anybody ?
The latest iproute2 software on its site ftp://ftp.inr.ac.ru/ip-routing/
is from 2002 iproute2-2.4.7-now-ss020116-try and even that is marked
with "try" ... since then we''ve seen a lot of patches for it, some
solving bugs some adding support for HTB, esfq, hfsc, wirr etc.
I think, someone mentioned on this list that he has collected all the
patches and updates for iproute2 ...

Using iproute2 to bond two Internet lines for a webserver.
I am relatively new to iproute2. Any information on the topic below would
save me considerable time. I appreciate any help, thanks.
We want to plug two lines into a webserver to increase the bandwidth
available to the hosted sites. Rather than use round-robin DNS we would
prefer to use iproute2 to use equal cost routing across the two lines.
However, I am still not sure how well that will

Iproute2 ''Makefile options'' in 2.5.59
Dear all,
Is iproute2 necessary for IPv6 to work properly on 2.5.59 kernel?
I''ve tried all combinations in the makefile for ADDLIB and LDLIBS but
still get the following errors:
I''ve applied the following patches to my kernel patch-o-matic-20020825
and Lksctp-2_5_59-0_6_5.patch
I''ve also installed iptables-1.2.7a.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Patch iproute2-2.6.9 and 2.6.10 for esfq
This is a repost of a posting on 2/18/05 that did not survive the crash.
Attached is a hacked patch that, when applied to iproute2-2.6.9 and
newer (.10 is latest as of this writing) allows the use of esfq. Note
that the original kernel patch must still be applied, so this probably
does not apply to 2.6 kernels; it is meant for 2.4.18 and newer (.29 is
latest as of this writing).

iproute2 and tc tools
Gurus,
I have a bunch of networks to route between, and I have read enough
about iproute2 to know that is my best solution.
Interfaces come up and go down, especially PPPnn from PPPoE clients, and
I need to be able to modify routing tables, rules, and addresses in a
dynamic fashion. I am hoping there is a tool-set other than the `ip`
command and a bunch of bash scripts that I can manage
