Vim-R-Plugin issue : Python interface must be enabled to run Vim-R-Plugin
I am trying to get the
Vim-R-Plugin<http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=2628> to
work with gvim and R on Windows 7.
When I open a .R file in VIM, it complains and says ""Python interface must
be enabled to run Vim-R-Plugin." I have installed pywin32 for python 2.7,
and added the following 4 lines to my _vimrc per the instructions

Run R code by Vim-R-plugin (How do I to run two or more programs at the same time)?
Dear list,
I use R on Ubuntu 9.04 by Vim editor with vim-R-plugin. I want to use
Vim to run two R programs A.R and B.R. At beginning, I sent A.R to R
prompt by pressing "\rf" and "F5" on my keyboard, and it works well.
Meanwhile, I want to sent another file B.R to another R window. When I
press "\rf", the R window shows up and still runs A.R.
How could I run B.R in

Vim R plugin-2
Dear R users,
People who uses vim in Linux/Unix may be interested in checking the
plugin for R that I'm developing:
http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=2628
The plugin includes omni completion for R objects, code indentation
and communication with R running in a terminal emulator (xterm or
gnome-terminal). This last feature was already present in Johannes
Ranke's plugin.

Vim-R-plugin (new version)
Dear R users,
The author of Tinn-R (Jose Claudio Faria) now is co-author of
Vim-R-plugin2, a plugin that makes it possible to send commands
from the Vim text editor to R. We added many new key bindings,
restructured the menu and created new Tool Bar buttons. The new
version is available at:
http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=2628
NOTES:

Vim differences between C4 and C5
I have installed CentOS 4.5 and 5 on 2 separate machines, and both have
default installs of vim-enhanced on each of them.
I noticed that I can get syntax highlighting as a regular user, sudo and
as root in C4.5. In C5 I only get highlighting as a regular user.
I diff'ed my /etc/vimrc files between each install there is no changes
and neither root ~ has a .vimrc file.
I had put "# vim:

Error occurred when compiling Vim 7.3 with --enable-perlinterp specified.
Has anyone compiled Vim 7.3 on CentOS 6.2 64bit ?
I got the following error after *configure --enable-perlinterp && make*:
./vim.h:2153:21: error: EXTERN.h: No such file or directory
./vim.h:2154:19: error: perl.h: No such file or directory
./vim.h:2155:19: error: XSUB.h: No such file or directory
I've installed perl and perl-devel, but with no luck.
Any ideas ?
Thanks.

[LLVMdev] Propose to use rest.vim for vimrc of LLVM
Hello list,
I use LLVM's vimrc and found that this setting below is useful when
editing of reStructuredText file.
llvm/utils/vim/vimrc

" to ~/.vim/syntax .

Thanks to some outside suggestions and contributions we now have another release.
If you missed the original announcement, rbcomplete provides a vim7
omni-completion function (code completion) for vim. It is based on

CentOS 6.2: suspending vim with ctrl-z and resuming with fg - stopped working
Hello,
pardon my chaotic question, but does anybody have an idea,
why can't I suspend vim-enhanced-7.2.411-1.6.el6.x86_64
with a CTRL-Z, then execute few commands at my bash prompt
and then get back to the vim session again with "fg"?
It has stopped working at my CentOS 6.2 machine (I haven't
noticed exactly when) but works fine with CentOS 5.x.
I'm using PuTTY to login to

markdown and vim
Am I the only person who uses Markdown somewhat intensively and uses
the Vim editor? I'm surprised that-- unless I'm missing it-- there is
only one markdown "mode" for vim, and it is broken in all sorts of
ways (most seriously, anything in square brackets other than a link
breaks the syntax highlighting in a bad way, and it can't handle
"text_like this text"). Emacs

[LLVMdev] VIM syntax highlighting
I have made a vim syntax highlighting script for LLVM. It can be found
at llvm/utils/vim/llvm.vim. You should copy this file to your
~/.vim/syntax/ directory and add the following lines to your .vimrc file
to have it automatically load on a .ll file.
augroup filetype
au! BufRead,BufNewFile *.ll set filetype=llvm
augroup END

R and vim (gvim) on ubuntu
Dear all -
I do fret this to be a revealing beginner question - fortunately, this
mailing list have been good to me in the paste .-)
I am looking for a good R editor/environment in ubuntu. To that end, I have
decided to dive into gvim as the modality offered here seems to make sense
for editing.
I want to use Johannes Ranke's vim r-plugin, but I can't make it work.

Feed a list of filenames to vim
There are some googlable ways to feed a list of filenames to vim, but I
stumble on weird results.
With my filelist, I try to do
cat list | xargs vim
...to edit the files listed in the file "list". Here's what happens:
[root at lasso2 tempdir]# ls -l
total 8
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 May 17 18:28 a
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 May 17 18:28 b

Vim scripting - cursor motion
I am working on my first vim script. The script is supposed to do some
find/replace on a file, then save the file with a new name and quit vim.
I will save the script in a file and then call it from a bash script
like this:
vim path-to-the-file -s path-to-my-script
Maybe I have not found the right resources. I can find/replace with
expressions that are similar to those I use manually, for
