So I did: shorewall.conf TC_ENABLED=Simple tcinterfaces eth0.2 External 500kbit tcdevices eth0.2 500kbit 200kbit And I am testing the speed on that interface - whether I did it ok or not, and my speed is still 4mbit/512kbit. Hi, I''m looking to combine a couple of fact names with the value of a class parameter to create and lookup the resulting fact''s value. Is that possible? For example, my class will take the parameter "my_default_nic" from beyond. So I know that as long as $my_default_nic exists on the client, then so will facts like macaddress_<NIC>, netmask_<NIC>,

Centos box and Cisco 3750 VLAN's
Hello all, I have a CentOS box that has a NIC (eth0) on which I defined 4 VLAN's (counting the NIC itself): eth0, eth0.1, eth0.2 and eht0.3. Initially the Cisco switch was not partitioned into VLAN's which means that the only VLAN running on it was the default one (VLAN 1). I have then played with VLAN's a bit on the switch and at this point have two: VLAN 1 (which is default and can

[Bridge] combining vlan tagging and spanning tree
Hi, I am configuring some servers in a high availability setup. The servers are connected to two switches with two LAN cards in each server. The two switches are connected directly to each other. The servers are configured to bridge eth0 and eth1 with spanning tree. Usually this makes sure eth1 is disabled, unless something happens to eth0. This way I can have one IP address on each server. Now
