Rails check for a .js template instead of .rjs?
respond_to do |format|
format.html
format.js { render :template => "login" }
end
Whenever I send an AJAX request to the action that has that code it says
it cant find the template login.js. Why isnt it looking for login.rjs?
Also when I take out the render it serves up the rhtml template instead
of the rjs template. Any idea why this is? I am using edge rails and the

Is there a Rails helper similar to link_to_remote but for a form check box instead of a link?
I''m working on a couple of user input forms -- one data entry, one
search -- where I''d like to start off by displaying only top-level
categories. Then, if a user checked one of the top-level categories,
all the child categories would show for that top-level one.
(Displaying all the child categories for every parent would be a bit
overwhelming, it''s a large list.)

anything rails based app like pligg or digg out there ?
I am wanting to do something like digg but internally at our company
and am looking for a rails based starting point. There is something
out there called pligg which seems pretty good, but it is PHP based and
I expect to be making quite a few changes/additions, so would really
prefer a project based on rails !
- hope to hear from you

FW: [patch 0/4]Enable CMCI (Corrected Machine Check Error Interrupt) for Intel CPUs
Hi, All
Following 4 patches are for enabling CMCI of Intel CPUs in XEN.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Patch 1: remove_intel_mce_old.patch is to remove old p4/p6 files. The reason is that machine check architecture for Intel families including p4/p6/latest are similar. We need not keep duplicated codes.
Patch 2: change_stop_machine_run.patch changes

whats the right way to avoid this nil error..
I have an model Order and a model Customer. Each customer has_many
Orders. Each Order belongs_to a Customer.
If I create an order but don''t specify a Customer (for whatever
reason, maybe it''s unknown at the time).. I obviously can''t access
@order.customer.name because I''ll get a nil error...
So what''s the right way to handle that? If the Customer is
