ActionMailer stopped working after upgrade to Rails 1.1
Hello, I am using implicit e-mail templates to send HTML messages. I had no problems till I have upgraded to Rails 1.1. Now the deliver_xxx method just fails without *any* error message. No error or whatsoever (both in development and production environments) exist in logs. Stranger than that, a blank page is being displayed (according to logs, 0 length response, with 200 OK code). I googled for

Any one has documented how-tos for making voicetronix openline 4 to work with Asterisk. I have been contacting Australian Digium resellers and Digium cards are not approved in Australia. So I suppose Australian users are interested into putting Voicetronix in use. Any expereience to share will be most appreciated. plot(x,y) core dump
Dear R Development Team, I compile R-1.9.1 on AIX 5.2 under 2.9-aix51-020209, and xlf 7.1. In order to let R compile successfully under gcc 2.9, I have to change one C statement of file(RHOME//src/modules/X11/devX11.c) line 1768 from "retrun FALSE" to "retrun NULL", following is C code snapshot: newX11Desc * Rf_allocNewX11DeviceDesc(double ps) { newX11Desc *xd;

help:sql search for NULL
Hi, I have two tables with identical fields(assignments, and matches). However, only one of them accept NULL values for its fields. I want to be able to find out all the matches for any assignment. The search should retrun the match if the corresponding filed is NULL as well. I wrote down the following code but it doesn''t return anything. I wonder what I am doing wrong. Any help is

LDA postfix + deliver, problem lookup, accepting email for everyone
Hi, I'm setting up dovecot pop3 deamon for a small set of mailbox. I want to be able to set a small set of mailbox simply, so I've used "passdb passwd-file" + virtual mailboxes with "userdb static". My problem is that it seems that postfix accept and create mailbox for every address I post. It is configured to use local delivery through dovecot's deliver. How

Suggestion: barplot function
Hello developers folks! First, congratulations for the wonderful work with R. For science, barplots with error bars are very important. We were wondering that is so easy to use the boxplot function: boxplot(Spores~treatment, col=treatment_colors) But there is no such function for barplots with standard deviation or standard error. It becomes a "journey" to plot a simple graph (e.g.

Labeling barplot bars by multiple factors
I want to plot quantitative data as a function of three two-level factors. How do I group the bars on a barplot by level through labeling and spacing? Here <http://www.thomaslevine.org/sample_multiple-factor_barplot.png>'s what I'm thinking of. Also, I'm pretty sure that I want a barplot, but there may be something better. newbie question on ActionMailer
Hi, I normally try to really figure things out before asking a stupid question but I''m tight on time and the stack trace indicates a pretty low-level problem... something scary for a newb. I''m hoping that someone can just say "you forgot to polish the widget before turning the crank" or some other simple newbie-slap. I''m trying to get actionmailer to send

Plot means with error bars - A novice needs help
Hello, I'd appreciate a suggestion on how to construct plots (barplots?) that use means on the Y axis instead of density/count. I'd also like to use groups and plot error or confidence interval bars on these graphs. I know this is a read the manual situation. I'd appreciate help with what to read, or your benevolence with some sample code. I've looked at lattice and gplots2, but

AW: Re: samba-3.0.10-1.4E (RHEL4); Invalid key XXX given to dptr_close
Fabian, Fast explains. On the NT server work BrightStore with version r9, more highly does not go because of NT. On the REHL4 side works (worked) BrightStore Linux Client r11.5. Smaller version does not work goes because of RHEL4. BrightStore servers r9 and Linux Client r11.5 are not compatible unfortunately. I must now decide everything with the version Share to work to get. Or the operating

mysql vs postgres
I''ve used mysql for quite some time now. Other than crashing when the partition gets full, I''ve had no problems with it. But I''ve heard great things about postgres and have seen some people say it''s much superior to mysql. So, with a Rails application, is there any reason why I would want to learn/use another DB besides mysql? Any pragmatic benefits?
