Fragment Cache Wackiness
I can''t seem to get the fragment cache to use :file_store. I''d really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. Rails 1.1 final, FreeBSD Observe: In environment.rb AND production.rb (for good measure, DRY be damned): ActionController::Base.fragment_cache_store = :file_store, "/www/apps/localfeeds/directory/tmp/fragmentcache/" At the console

Hi, I have a has_and_belongs_to relationship between 2 objects, order and product. I''m getting a foreign key violation when trying to delete Order. Is there a special way of deleting orders without deleting products? ("has_many" has :dependant => :delete_all.... does "has_and_belongs_to" have something similar) Trying: Order.delete_all Getting: Mysql::Error:

Rails resources, blogs, forums, etc?
Hi everyone, Already in the span of a week or so I''ve learned exponentially from your collective minds. So, first off, thanks for being such a good community. In addition to everything here i''m wondering what the top RoR-related blogs are - abundant with content and frequently updated. Are there any that would be consensus among rails enthusiasts? The same with web-based

can you see the future?
looks like my message from last week about writing tools was right on time... we are enjoying a display of fireworks now going off in this particular arena... fletcher started work on an editing app with markdown-preview built right in, after reporting on his blog that he had "seen the future" in ali's post last month, where ali debuted his syntax highlighter, and fletcher is

errors.add_to_base
What are the limitations on using: errors.add_to_base to display errors in views? I have tried for days to add errors from my object.rb and they never get displayed. class Keyword < ActiveRecord::Base validates_presence_of(:name, :message => "Name is required.") validates_uniqueness_of(:name, :message => "This name is already in use. Camping Podcast
I''m putting together an episode of the Rails podcast that will be dedicated to Camping. I already have the first interview recorded. I''d like to get 3 or 4 more short interviews (short...maybe 4.096 minutes each). If you''d like instant fame, send me an email and tell me what camping project you would like to talk about, what your skype username is, and when is a good

Gluster Feature on HPC Podcast
I am one of the hosts of Research Computing and Engineering (www.rce-cast.com). We host shows on HPC related topics and we have had listener requests for a show on Gluster. Would one or two Gluster devs be willing to take an hour for a phone/skype interview to inform users about Gluster and its unique features? If you have any questions please let me know. Improving audio bitrate for all callers in a conference room for a podcast
Hello, As a podcaster I use Asterisk extensively and often have several people in a conference room. We'll record the calls via a SIP phone connected to a sound mixer. Is there an easy way to bump up the audio bitrate for all callers connected to the Asterisk server and improve the general sound quality? The server is not used much outside of recording the podcast. We're not opposed to

Peepcode REST podcast. ..didn't anybody get it ?
And if so, I''m going a bit bonkers here and need to watch it again, but if I remember correctly, scaffold_resource generator was used, but for nested resources the show and index were removed from the controller ? Is this correct as far as what happened in the demonstration and if so is it correct as far as rest goes ? TIA Stuart -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_ambient
