Shaping per IP in PPPoE
hi all.
i am currently now serving PPPoE in my area.
i had a script generated from tcng that worked perfectly before i
started serving PPPoE.
the issue is not in the script it self BUT in that "tc" code is not
shaping on the ethernet anymore BUT INSTEAD
on the pppX devices. I tested it and talking jargon, what should i do?
The issue is that for each PPPoE login, PPPoE-server

Suggestions on XEN configuration with local and remote iSCSI
Dear All,
I''m totally new to DRBD + XEN over iSCSI but I need to configure this
scenario in order to buy the right hardware.
Our department will provide us with an iSCSI target which will be
replicated in its own to a secondary iSCSI SAN (probably they will use
DRBD). This target will be used, in our ideas, to replicate our own
iSCSI san, that we are going to buy.
We will probably

7912 phones loosing registration
I have a handful of 7912's connected to my asterisk 1.2.14 server. (6 to
be exact).
I get the X on the display sometimes for loosing registration.
I have the config file for the 7912's
SipRegInterval: 60
and asterisk is the default.
; maxexpirey=3600
;defaultexpirey=120
I've not changed them.
How can I keep these phones online and stop loosing registration?
Thanks,
Jerry

Complex proposal v3 + roundtable agenda
Some architectures have instructions that assist with complex arithmetic. Without intrinsics it may be hard to use such instructions especially because of the arithmetic simplifications. Perhaps, depending on TTI, those intrinsics could be expanded into the explicit arithmetic?

RODBC bug or doc error in sqlFetch on xls files (PR#7354)
R 2.0.0 patched under win2000. MS Office Excel 2003. ODBC Drivers?
This may not come as a surprise -- sqlFetch() (and perhaps other ?) appear
not to handle table/worksheet names with spaces in them in Excel tables. I
was not able to find documentation that specifically mentioned this,
although the Help pages vaguely hinted that there might be difficulty with
Excel's "peculiar

loosing connections after upgrade to 3.09
I had 3.05 running fine with an NT4 domain. I am using SERVER
authentication with the machines and users. After the upgrade some of my
users are no longer recognized ...or rather they are part of a trusted
domain (NT4 -> NT4 trust)....and they do not get authenticated
properly....so they can no longer map their home directory.
Also, some people are loosing their mapping to their home

change sector size in EXT3
Hello all.
I'm having some trouble with a big RAID disk formatted with ext3 under
RHEL3.
The size of the partition is 1.5 Tb and the sector size is 32Mb. The
partition was intended to store very large files (1 or 2 Gb each one) but
the reality is that there are also a lot of TXT files (less than 1Kb). As
every TXT is taking 32Mb and there are a lot I'm loosing around 300 Gb of
space.

Speex echo cancellation: hi pass filtering? low latency?
Hello,
I tried to use speex echo canceller for a live performance setup to cancell
feedback. My program buffers input until collecting a speex frame size of
samples, then calls speex_echo_cancellation passing this buffer as input
signal and previous speex output as echo signal, then immediately plays
current speex output.
First thing I noticed was huge high pass filtering. Then I found out there
