winbind and AD password updates
Hi!
I've been trying to get password changes to work from a SuSE machine to
an AD server. Authentication works fine in AD mode, so at least that bit
is correct.
When trying to change the password, I get PAM error 4 back. Checking in
the logs, I see that winbind fails with the error
NT_STATUS_PASSWORD_RESTRICTION.
From Microsoft's documentation, I can read that this means that there

[LLVMdev] Changes to configure to recognize MinGW Win32 platform
Hi
I've started to port LLVM to the MinGW Win32 platform.
To successfully recognize the platform, following statements should
be inserted into the configure script:

Will pay $50 for a MingW build of latest rsync for Win32
I need to distribute rsync (useable for both client and --daemon) on
Win32. Distributing cygwin1.dll is, well you know, a bad idea. I took a
shot at building under MingW but ran into an ugly looking error:

Compiling PL/R against R.dll in Win32/MinGW
Hello list,
I've been trying to get the PostgreSQL PL/R library to compile on
windows (http://www.joeconway.com/plr/). The author of this library
says the problem is likely because the distributed R.dll isn't compiled
as a shared dll. Is this the case? If so, is there any way to compile
it such that it is shared? If that's not the case, than maybe someone
on this list has a better

has anyone compiled win32-utils under mingw?
Since the 1.8.4 One-click installer is based on VC++ 6.0 which is no
longer available, I am looking for alternative ways of building
win32-utils so as avoid segfaults. Has anyone used MingGW
successfully? When I run ruby extconf.rb from MSYS the resulting make
file assumes that I am using VC++. Do I need to build ruby under MinGW
first?

IE and Windows Media Player?
Does IE and Windows Media Player (any version) work with Wine 0.9.10 or
the latest CVS version? If so, how to install? I've tried but failed:
* With the latest CVS and sidenet-1.9.1, using option "IE6 with WMP6
installation", the IE setup fails with "The download location information
is damaged".
* With Wine 0.9.10, using the FC4 RPM: The same as above.

Yes, I know, but I was hoping for a workaround. If Samba/Winbind doesn't
work with 2003SP1 in domain mode, and no fix

W2003 terminal server profile path error
I've joined a Windows 2003 server to a domain hosted by a Samba 2.2.8
machine. It works fine to log in locally at the console, but not via
terminal services. The login screen says:
"You do not have access to logon to this session."
The Event viewer says:
"Failed to load Terminal Server Profile path. Note that the profile path

linking to R.dll on Win32 - issues with recent MinGW?
I encountered several strange issues when linking to R.dll on Windows
and I wonder if anyone of the Windows savvy-folks here had seen some of
the issues before and have some explanation.
My Rserve links to R dynamic library. That works perfectly on unix
boxes and worked fairly well with older MinGW and older R (<=1.7.1).
What I do in fact is that I specify
-L$(R_HOME)/bin -lR
when linking.
