Ubuntu Hoary dom0 initrd problems
Greetings. Trying to install Xen into an Ubuntu Hoary base install.
Using the 2.0.7 binary install yields an initrd error upon bootup.
I am not very familiar with initrd (but will read about it)... in the
meantime, any suggestions on getting up and running?
Thanks

Is there an opposite of Inflector.Camelize
Or to put it another way, is there a function f, such that
Inflector.f(Inflector.Camelize(x)) = x
?
Enquiring minds need to know.

superclass mismatch for class Tag (TypeError)
I am trying to write a ruby script which includes both the ''RubyfulSoup''

testing
I''m looking for a good way to make all of Rails'' inbuilt helpers
available to my custom Helper while I''m testing it.
The Helper I''m testing is EditorHelper. EditorHelper itself relies on
some of Rails'' inbuilt Helpers, such as JavaScriptHelper and
UrlHelper. These are automagically available when called on within an
ERB template, but not when called by

Mongrel-users Digest, Vol 23, Issue 4
Thanks for the help Sean. I managed to get the install fixed, but I''m
still having problems. When I do mongrel_rails start, the process just

Auto-installing Gems via boot.rb causes errors under Mongrel
Hi,
I''m trying to make my Rails app auto-install my required gems, by
invoking the gem installation in boot.rb. I''ll use the ActionMailer
gem as an example:
...
system "sudo gem install actionmailer --version=1.2.5 -y"
...
Problem is that this fails on the first invocation of Mongrel - it
can''t find the gem. However, if I kill and restart mongrel (with the

Ferret on Windows?
I am trying to use SVN HEAD of Acts_as_ferret, and I have ferret
0.10.4installed from the windows Gem.
Unfortuanantly, whenever I i let act_as_ferrets init.rb file require ferret,
my app blows up, with weird "Invalid char" errors. I have pasted the page
below. If I comment out the require ferret, the page loads. Of course,
act_as_ferret does blow up.
My unit tests do work fine

Newbie question: scaffold not working
I went through a tutorial at
http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/onlamp/2005/01/20/rails.html?page=1 to get

I can''t seem to get it to work the way it was described in the tutorial.

Below is the error information. Any thoughts on how

Problem w/ error_messages_for: wrong number of arguments?
Hi guys,
I just upgraded to the latest version of Rails 1.1 and am getting some
odd error messages. Specifically, I have the line:
<%= error_messages_for ''user'' %>
at the top of one of my .rhtml files and of course a variable @user.
When an error occurs when saving ''user'', instead of getting the error
message (which happened fine in Rails 1.0), I now

[patch] Allowing to_xml to rename keys in lower camel case format
Hi all,
I''ve created and submitted a patch to resolve an issue I had while
attempting to meet the OpenSocial API specifications, which dictates that
the xml output have tags formatted as lower camelcase (as opposed to upper
camelcase, which is currently the only option). With this patch, simply
passing :camelize => true still begets the current behavior, but you can now
enable lower
