R worked once, now will not open. Works in console, but won't graph. (PR#7953)
Full_Name: Richard Zur
Version: 2.1.0a
OS: 10.3.9
Submission from: (NULL) (67.176.250.164)
I erased R 2.0.1 (the R.app and the framework) and installed R 2.1.0a. I ran it
once, then shut down without saving the workspace. Now it doesn't start at all.
I've erased it a couple of times and re-installed (not installing the libraries
I use, coda, MCMCpack, MASS and bayesm) but the same

Embedding Rails in a Cocoa app.
Hi,
Has anyone tried to embed rails into a Cocoa app? I have got this
working to a very primitive point using RubyCocoa. After about half an
hour of playing I was able to get WEBrick to serve the rails starter
page inside of a Cocoa app, but that is as far as I have got.
I have an idea for a client/server app where the server is a Cocoa
application that embeds WEBrick (or another server solution

double-quote tab crashes R (PR#9058)
Hi,
This seems to crash my version of R:
"<TAB>
where I type a double quote, and then hit the <TAB> key.
I was playing with strsplit, and wanted to give it a vector of
characters including newline, tab, space, and so on.
I've included the trace info from my macBook Pro (intel macintosh).

segmentation fault with Hmisc areg.boot()
Hi Folks,
Mac OS 10.4.4
R 2.2.1(2005-12-20 r36812)
Hmisc 3.0-10
acepack 1.3-2.2
I keep getting a "segmentation fault" when trying to run areg.boot in
the Hmisc package. I include below output from two different attempts.
Thank you in advance for any help.

The following is taken from the example in the areg.boot
documentation, run inside Aquamacs Emacs:

R crashes in Mac OS 10.4 when Find is used (PR#9192)
Full_Name: Matt Fantle
Version: 1.16
OS: Mac OS 10.4.7
Submission from: (NULL) (128.118.174.213)
Problem: R crashes when 'Command-f' is pressed to begin "Find"
Frequency: This problem is intermittant. Once R crashes, the only solution is
to restart R and try to Find again. There is no regularity to the problem. If
R is opened by double-clicking on a ".R" file,

segmentation fault with Hmisc areg.boot(): Now acepack avas failure
Hi Folks,
Mac OS 10.4.4
R 2.2.1(2005-12-20 r36812)
Hmisc 3.0-10
acepack 1.3-2.2
I had R crashes while running areg.boot in Hmisc (see old message
below), but now I realize that the problem appears to be in the avas
function in acepack. I tried running running the avas example (in
acepack package), and got an immediate crash.
Any thoughts? The Apple crash report (from R GUI crash) follows.

RailsInCocoa - example.
Hi,
I recently posted about running a Rails app inside of a Cocoa
application via RubyCocoa. I have a (very raw and ugly) proof of
concept available:
http://www.ldaley.com/dl/RailsInCocoa.dmg
Also, a short write up about it:
http://www.ldaley.com/2006/11/23/ruby-on-rails-dipped-in-cocoa/
To build and run the proof of concept, you will need RubyCocoa
installed on your machine.
Cheers,

Using RSpec to drive the design of a GUI desktop application
Hello everybody,
I''ve been using RSpec as a tool to create web applications for some time
now, in Rails, and using plain Ruby with WEBrick as well. The tool suits my
needs and the story runner is great.
Now there are things that aren''t solvable on the web, you''ll need a _real_
desktop application for those problems.
So I''ve toyed a bit around with various GUI

[PATCH] Obsolete WebKit Calling Convention
Hi @ll,
I would like to obsolete and completely remove the WebKit Calling Convention. The CC was originally added for FTL and there are no other users I am aware off. Since WebKit moved away from LLVM a while ago I don’t see the need to keep the dead code around anymore.
Please let me know if anyone happens to use this calling convention or has any objection with removing it.
Thanks

webkit on CentOS 7.4
Hello is the webkit with CentOS 7.4 compiled with ENABLE_MEDIASOURCE ?
When I call the set_media_source function with TRUE and then ask
get_media_source function for the value it returns TRUE. I presume it would
no return TRUE if its not enabled.
However, my webpage with a video tag using webkit is not finding the
MediaSource.
Thanks,
Jerry
