How to best change the default value of dasherize (using Edge Rails, and knowing about :dasherize => false)?
Hi all,
I''m trying to turn off dasherize in all cases, since converting
underscores to hyphens breaks the way that I want to handle XML (with
E4X in Flex 2).
I''ve read the other threads about dasherize on this list. I''m on Edge
Rails, so I can successfully turn off dasherize for a single usage
with something like
render :xml => @task.to_xml(:dasherize => false)

new book on R and S-PLUS
Dear R and S list members:
I've just published a book entitled An R and S-PLUS Companion to Applied
Regression. The book introduces R and S-PLUS in the context of linear and
generalized-linear models, and assumes familiarity with -- or a
simultaneous course or text on -- these topics. I thought that the book
might be of interest to the members of these lists or to their students.

zone name length
How does LOGFORMAT in shorewall.conf control the length of the zone name
as discussed in the zones man page?
The default max length is 5. What would I specify in LOGFORMAT to allow
a 6 character zone name?

[PATCH][next] drm/nouveau/nvkm: Replace zero-length array with flexible-array member
Zero-length arrays are deprecated[1] and we are moving towards
adopting C99 flexible-array members instead. So, replace zero-length
array declaration in struct nvfw_hs_load_header_v2 with flex-array
member.
This helps with the ongoing efforts to tighten the FORTIFY_SOURCE
routines on memcpy() and help us make progress towards globally
enabling -fstrict-flex-arrays=3 [2].

SMB3 verification in Wireshark
Hi,
I am running samba-4.1.4 on my Fedora OS.
I have provided the "client max protocol = SMB3" and "server max protocol = SMB3" parameters in smb.conf file
I'm able to get only SMB2.1 packets using wireshark after fileshare access from my windows 7 machine. And not SMB3 packets.

away, we need to clear out some space.
So, if you''d like to pick up a first edition paper book, they''re
going (while stocks last) for $12.50 (plus shipping) from

Issue on DEBUG statement
Hi,
I was running samba-4.1.4 successfully on my fedora till the below issue occurs.
I had put some simple DEBUG statements in "lib/util/debug.c" (reopen_logs_internal() and some other funcs) file to understand the logging mechanism.
And the same is compiled fine without any issues. And I started my samba service(both nmbd and smbd), I got "(core dumped) segmentation fault"
