Re: LARTC Digest, Vol 7, Issue 7
Hi Andreas!
I mainly understand what you mean, but best for me would be if you could make an example from the script I have. I know I did something wrong into it, but I still can''t see the error. If you could fix the error from my script that would be much appreciated.
Looking forward to hear from you,

Re: RE: Control Traffic
Hi Andreas!
I mainly understand what you mean, I tried to fix something on the script, I don''t know if I did it well.
Can you take another look on it please and if is wrong to make the corrections directly on it so that I see where the mistake is...
With this script I want to make limits for IP class 85.120.48.0/25 for international traffic in 256 KBps classes and for metropolitan

Thanks for quick reply Andreas!

Thats exactly what I want from HTB to do..to prio the borrowed bandwidth.

RV: RV: LATENCY PROBLEMS
I thought of creating an htb class for each user, but as you said I haven''t
got enough bw to do soo.
Thats why my setup only has 5 classes with WRR queues so I get sure each
user doesnt affects the other users. On top of that I have an iplimit to a
maximum of 15 parallel connections per user.
So I get the following conclusions:
A) change link
B) upgrade to kernel 2.6 and use l7

NT Problems with Samba
Okay - all I'm trying to do here is smbclient from my Slackware Linux box
(SNUFFY) to my Windows NT 4.0 SP3 Server (BURT). Burt is a BDC and is
participating in WINS via my internal WINS Server. The Scope ID for the
WINS Server is HARVESTWEB - but I'm not sure how to set that in SAMBA. My
password server (I assume) should be my PDC with is GROVER (146.115.109.8)
Eventually, I want to be

Granstream BT100 - only partial success
We are having many successes with Asterisk and starting to get the hang of
it.
But, I am still having problems getting my Budgetone BT100 (firmware
1.0.4.50) to work fully. I can receive calls, but cannot make them.
We have the latest version of Asterisk, Fedora Core 3, Digium TDM400P with
one FXO and one FXS card configured and working well. We have a PSTN line
going into the Digium card,

HTB, MPU, and suitable values
It seems Andreas Klauer''s fairnat has experimental support for using HTB''s MPU
and overhead options.
fairnat.config:
# Use MPU for HTB. From the LARTC Howto on MPU:

# uses less than 64 bytes. The Minimum Packet Unit determines the minimal
# token usage for a packet."

flac-dev Digest, Vol 101, Issue 27
I'd love to fix the .Xcodeproj (which is what they're called now) but I
don't have a clue how to, if I were to figure it out would you guys accept
it, or is it not worth my time?
btw, someone on Windows should get the visual studio files working, it
always complains about not finding nasm.exe.

Relaying with Icecast - stand-by or active all the time?
Ah, ok Satz, I did not know that's right :(
Now I am trying:
<server>194.232.200.156</server>
<port>8000</port>
<mount>/listen.pls</mount>
<local-mount>/oe3.mp3</local-mount>
... but I do not get the mountpoint "oe3.mp3" in
http://186.56.96.133:8200
May be something related with the extension "pls" ?.

flac-dev Digest, Vol 101, Issue 28
Well, I'm bored, and I hope I'm not getting in the way of anyone, but I was
like hell might as well try to make a new Xcode project, although I am
using 10.8 with the latest xcode, so I'd have to manually remove that, but
there is one serious concern, and that's that header files are being called
from 1 directory up from where they are, for example:

[PATCH] Fix support for Linux kernel images with no protected mode code
Some kernel images use the Linux kernel boot protocol and header
structure, but do not actually have any protected-mode code. For
instance, grub's 1024-byte lnxboot.img consists of 1024 real-mode bytes
and 0 protected-mode bytes; you can concatenate it with a full grub
core.img to produce a self-contained bootable kernel, but you can also
use it standalone as the kernel with the core.img

Relaying with Icecast - stand-by or active all the time?
You can set globally with the <relays-on-demand>1</relays-on-demand> in the
global <icecast/> section, or you can configure per-relay with <on-demand>.
You can find it in the sample config file. (Does not say much more.)

HTB shaping & borrowing info
Hello to everybody,
We want integrate in a router/firewall (Debian Based, 2.6 Kernel), an HTB
shaper.
The goal is to divide the traffic for classes of workstations, at example in
three classes,
let say A, B and C.
Example:
A 70 Mb/s
B 20 Mb/s
C 10 Mb/s
If B don''t make traffic, 7/8 of 20Mb/s must be assigned to A and all the
rest at B
We have used CBQ and HTB, with poor succes.
