Bandwith Aggregation
I am working on my Diploma Thesis on Computer Science Engineering.
The main idea behind of my work is to make it possible to have
a Linux box combining multiple ISP/network connections together
providing a single connection with an aggregated bandwith.
I have been surfing the Internet and I haven''t found anything
like that running on Linux. I would like to implement it using

made through ADSL, and another is made with a Radio-Link (WaveLAN

Same GW for load balancing
Hi
I want to use two dsl (or more) lines to increase my internet bandwidth.
Our dsl lines are dhcp serviced. Both of them provide the same Def GW and different IPs for each ethernet interface (same subnet).
¿Is it possible to balance outgoing traffic "using" the interface as a
criteria? No point on choosing gateway by IP.
¿Could someone give me a clue on how to deal with this?

Problem with marking packets...
Hello everyone...
I have a little trouble and need some help :P
How can I check on which interface the packet is going (eth0, eth1; I
have two ISP and on eth3 little LAN), using to check it TC and IMQ? (HTB
script)
I tried to mark packets, but on chain POSTROUTING this does not work...
Maybe because packets fall on IMQ before signing.
I tried marking it on FORWARD but packets also

FWMARK ROUTING OVER MULTIPLE ROUTERS/LANS
I would like to route ssh in my network via DSL2 and all other trafic via
DSL1.
So far I menaged to do it for LAN2 but there are still WLAN1,LAN3 and LAN1 to
go.
On all routers I added table "pilicka" with rule for fwmark and I fwmarked
ssh.
# ip rule show
0: from all lookup local
32765: from all fwmark 0x3 lookup pilicka
32766: from all lookup main

Multiple ISP Issues
Hi all,
I am having an issue with a multiple ISP setup. I have followed the
docs online and I think I have everything setup correctly but I can
get the desired traffice to go out my secondary ISP.
A quick run down on what I am trying to acomplish. I want to send all
sip/iax traffic out one ISP in the net zone and then send all other
traffic out my secondary ISP in the dsl zone.

SIP one-way audio
Hi,
This problem has been tackled over and over, I know.
I'm trying to understand why I'm having trouble with my "simple setup".
My setup is like this:
<SIP_PROVIDER>---<DSL1>---<LINUX_GATEWAY>---<ASTERISK_VIA_DSL1>
I've unloaded the nf_*_sip kernel modules from the LINUX_GATEWAY just in case they could interfere.
The DSL1 modem/router is a

NFSv4 Storage Pools
Hi,
Is it possible to configure libvirt to use NFSv4 for a pool? I am doing
some iptables SNATing and rpc.statd can't handle it.
Thanks,
Paul

question on IPSEC behind NAT
Helo to all,
I am attempting to establish an IPSEC tunnel to a remote freeswan G/W
with my laptop.
My laptop sits in behind shorewall at home. From the documentation, this
is what I
Modified in Shorewall:
/etc/shorewall/tunnels:
ipsec loc 24.65.x.x
/etc/shorewall/policy

My question is, have I left anything out?

Dead Gateway Detection with PPPoE
Gentlefolk,
First, many thanks to EVERYONE that tries so hard to make this advanced
routing stuff useful to the "...rest of us"! You all rock!
I have been prowling the archives of this list for an answer to my
problem, and have seen some close situations, but no joy. Yet.
I''ve got a relatively simple setup I''m trying to get working: we''ve got

An old ld-linux.so hole
Section I. Overview
Hello,
About a half year ago there was some rumour on bugtraq concerning a buffer
overflow in Linux dynamic linkers, ld.so and ld-linux.so. You can take a look
at the beginning of the thread at http://www.geek-girl.com/bugtraq/1997_3/0089.html
to refresh old memories; I''ll capitalize anyway.
Briefly, there exists a buffer overrun in ld-linux.so versions 1.7.14,

virtual routing issue
A most puzzling network conundrum has arisen while I was attempting to
create a virtual network behind a virtual router which in turn connects the
virtual network to my real network.
My machine (192.168.103.23) is on the network with my router
(192.168.103.1). The virtual router, tiara, has to connect my
192.168.103.* network with the virtual 10.0.0.* network which comprises two

Layer 3 switching...
Is it even possible or even worth while to do layer 3 switching
(bridging) on a Linux system?
Or would this be considered routing even though everything is done on
OSI Layer 2?
Which would be faster, Layer 3 switching (bridging) on OSI Layer 2 or
routing on OSI Layer 3?

SIP, NAT, and load balancing problems
Hello all,
I have a linux machine with a SIP server (Asterisk) and 2 WAN interfaces
(NATed) configured to do load balancing. I experienced problems with the
SIP/RTP protocols and load balancing, because when initiating a call to
an external SIP Host, a new RTP flow starts from the server to the Host,
that sometimes uses another default route (due to the nexthop
configuration). As i have two
