Sysvol GPO ACLs problem
Hi, Hello, I have been investigating and I am afraid that our case is the same as this one: https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2017-September/210724.html As you said, we have a problem with the gidNumber inherited from a migration from samba 3.x NT4 to samba 4.x AD. I have followed your prompts, removing the gidNumber from all AD 'BUILTIN' groups, in addition to the

R 2.1.1 installation fails under Suse 10.0 (PR#8533)
Full_Name: Sigbert Klinke Version: 2.1.1 OS: Suse Linux 10.0 (Full DVD) Submission from: (NULL) (141.20.100.252) Suse 10.0 installs only a Fortran 95 compiler with g77 compability mode. Using this leads in "configure" to an abortion with problems about "FPICFLAGS". Deinstalling g77 compatiblity mode, using f2c, compiles R. But after calling R() the program shows its entrance

Opti-UPS Value Series 575C
Hi! (first of all, FAQ tells me I should mention "queequeg" :P) I recently bought the UPS mentioned in the subject, assuming it'd work with Linux somehow, and the protocol will soon be something common -- turns out I was wrong. Website of the UPS: http://www.opti-ups.com/ -> USA -> Click on the big banner when it turns up (turns out I can't like to it directly, probably

Shell Requirements for Shorewall 1.4.6
The 1.4.6 version of Shorewall makes additional demands on the shell. I have found that both the RH9.0 version of ash and the version of ash that has long been available from the Shorewall download sites are *not* suitable for use with Shorewall 1.4.6. The LEAF Bering version of ash on the other hand works fine. Attached is a small shell program that will allow you to test your shell for

Release with BIGENDIANAES compat option?
Hello all, Very recently, djm added compability patch so that aes/rijndael encryption problems could be avoided when talking to broken server/client; and you wouldn't have to toggle off the protocols yourself. Might this be a candidate for 2.5.2p2 or the like? This would be helpful when there are a lot of broken, 2.3.0 and like, systems. -- Pekka Savola "Tell me of

Ext3 vs. Reiser?
Hi! I was just wondering how Ext3 and Reiserfs compare. When I reinstalled my server (because of a stupid hacker) I took the opportunity to change to ReiserFS. And I have to say it's really much faster than Ext3. I don't have benchmarks, but for example, stuff like "make dep" on the linux kernel is much faster (even though I had enabled write cache when I was using ext3). So

[LLVMdev] [patch] Enhance of asm macros
Hello Kevin, I thinking about this, but there are some problems: 1) Differrent interpretation of $[:number:] in macro body: source: .macro test par1 movl $0, %eax .endm test %ebx translated to: original llvm => movl %ebx, %eax with patch => movl $0, %ebx 2) Different parsing of space in macro parameters: source: test2 a + b,c parsed as: original llvm => macro test2 with two

Bandwidth Allocation...
Im configuring a server, to provide internet to 5 machines, with a dsl connection. I m not in familiar with bandwidth shaping, so Im going to start reading about it. What Im looking is something which let me assign the bandwidth in a dynamic way.(dynamic bandwidth allocation). For example: If I assign X bandwidht to each PC.(equal), and Pc1 is not using the %100 of the bandwidht

ttyv for local only?
I get this in my security postings. Jun [undisclosed time] [undiscl.] login: 2 LOGIN FAILURES ON ttyv2 Jun [undisclosed time] [undiscl.] login: 2 LOGIN FAILURES ON ttyv2, qmaild As it turns out, I'm not running qmail :) And if I did, it would definitely have a nologin shell. But that's beside the point- I have had a perception that ttyv was for local/console logins, and that just
