Kernel panic with load balancing
Hi!
I''ve 5 DSL routers and a linux router in a switch. The linux router is
doing NAT for a LAN network, but it freezes when I set up load
balancing with this command:

        nexthop via 192.168.1.20 dev eth1\

ADSL routers with integrated SIP QoS for other devices
Greetings list,
Thanks to all who replied to my thread a few days ago "SIP devices with packet loss tolerance". One of the suggestions that came out of that thread was to replace routers at users' premises with ones that support QoS.
I've used m0n0wall's QoS in the past with reasonable success, but it's quite a bulky and complex setup for deploying to remote sites which

RE: HOW TO COMBINE 2 DSL LINES IN THE SAME COMPUTER
J,
What i meant is...like in Linux you make use of the two external
connections and collate them as mentioned in the document. Can you try
keeping the Linux box in front of the two windowze boxen and collate the
two LAN connections coming from them as mentioned in the HOWTO???.

Asterisk, PAP2T and 2Wire DSL router
Here is Mexico the phone company uses a DSL router from 2Wire which in
my opinion is quite bad. I am having problems getting PAP2T adapters
connected to Asterisk using these routers. They connect fine but after
about 5 minutes I get a message on the Asterisk console that the ATA is
unreachable. So far the only way I have found for the ATA to stay
connected more than five minutes is to put it in

load balancing: per route or per interface?
Hi!
I''m doing load balancing for 5 dsl lines, each one with a dsl router
attached to a linux machine ethernet plug. The problem is that I''m
adding 15 more dsl lines, and I don''t have enough PCI slots in the
linux machine to sum up 20 ethernet plugs (I already have 2 quad
ethernet cards).
So I''m considering connecting all dsl routers and the linux machine to

load balancing between two dsl links
Hi,
I am connected to two DSL providers (DSL 1 - 1Mbps downlink/384kbps
uplink and DSL 2 - 2Mbps downlink/512kpbs uplink)
I would like to only allow ftp, pop3 and http via the DSL 1 and only
smtp, ipsec and pptp via DSL 2.
How can I do so? Can I use iproute to route these protocols?
Below is my ip routing: -
# DSL 1
ip route add 2.2.2.208/30 dev eth0 src 2.2.2.210 table 1

Upgrading to Verizon FIOS from Verizon DSL - Linux machine as router/Gateway/LAN server]
Greetings,
A long time ago I setup a Linux machine as a Gateway/LAN Server using
Verizon DSL as the ISP.
I used the following HOWTO as the guide - DSL HOWTO For Linux:
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/DSL-HOWTO/index.html
Is there something comprable for Verizon FIOS?
My Gateway machine runs Fedora.
For a new server, I'm considering setting up a CentOS machine, while still
using Fedora on my

D-Link announces Asterisk on Router/DSL-Modem
Found this today:
D-Link has apparently positioned itself to challenge the AVM Fritz!Box
(which is an analog & ISDN home PBX including DSL modem, router, LAN &
WLAN). The PBX service of this device called "HorstBox Professional" DVA-
G3342SB will be provided by Asterisk, and it should become available
sometime around Q2/2006 for aprox. 450 EUR (let me add that this is twice

DSL battling rojter - help!
My internet connection is through a Siemens Speedstream 4100 DSL modem
connected to AT&T (sbcglobal.net), and a Dlink WBR-2310 router.
Late last night, I changed the administrative password on the router,
and for some reason it didn't take right, so I had to reset the router
to get the password cleared. Unfortunately, this also lost all my
connection settings to the DSL, and I lost the

One interface rfc1918 address. Connection via DSL router
I have several computers connected to the internet through a DSL router that
assigns rfc1918 (192.168.1.x) addresses to the systems connected. I have a
server where shorewall is installed with one interface eth0, with a static
ip (192.168.1.3). The router is configured to forward all connections from
the internet to the linux server.
I''d like to know how I can configure shorewall to

Sharing a DSL between 40 subnets with htb
I have a network with around 40 /24 subnets that shares a common DSL,
this cries out for shaping so here I am trying to make it work as my
first tc project.
I have managed to cargocult some snippets from this list and tried to
come up with a config, but there are a few things that I''d really like
some input on:
1) Are the NAT''ed addresses available in the PREROUTING table

outside ssh connection from two different ISP's
I have both cable and dsl service. The router attached to the cable service is 192.168.0.1 and the router attached to the dsl service is 192.168.0.254. I determine which service my computers communicate through by setting the gateway assignment to either of those addresses and it just works.
I can connect to my computers from the outside by port forwarding from my routers to the computer that I

Conectar Access con R
Ya he visto como hacerlo:
 conexion<-odbcConnect("rx")
Pero pense que podria elegir luego la bd que yo quisiera. Entiendo que de esta manera la base de datos siempre se tiene que llamar igual y estar en el mismo sitio, si no quiero andar modificando de nuevo la conexion con Windows. ¿Verdad?
Gracias

Thanks for your response, and for all the others.
I am indeed using the two routers as Access Points,
turning off dhcp on them, etc.
I did actually try what has been suggested,
but it didn't seem to work,
which made me
