Deployment problem with Capistrano
I have everything set up that I need - SVN, webserver (Apache2.2),
mongrels, etc. Capistrano is deploying the site well enough, to a
point.
I need to create sym-links to my file-column created content
directories (in
shared) and copy the database.yml file (also from shared) into the
current folder.
I''ve written the following task:

Deployment with Capistrano
Hey all,
Has anyone out there got Mongrel deployments working with Capistrano?
I''ve had a crack at setting it up, and I''ve found that after a
deployment (with updated symlinks) that a mongrel restart does not
pick up the new deployed site. It seems to me (in my linkted
experience) that the HUP that is sent to mongrel does not re-evaluate
the ./current symlink that Cap puts in

Not all mongrel starting (Errno:EEXIST)
I''m playing with the mongrel clustering, and am having a problem getting 2
mongrels to start up reliably.
This should be a pretty simple cluster, with just 2 instances running. My
mongrel config (mongrel_cluster.yml) looks like:
cwd: /deployment/installed/myapp/current
log_file: log/mongrel.log
port: "8000"
environment: production

Rake error after installing Capistrano
After I uninstalled SwitchTower and installed Capistrano, I tried run rake
--tasks and got the error message below:
rake aborted!
undefined method `namespace'' for #<Object:0x28a9258>
./rakefile:10
I''ve run "cap -A ." on my Rails application before running rake --tasks. The
same thing happens when I overwrite my copy of deploy.rb.

Capistrano deployment pathname error
When I try to do a deployment with Capistrano I get the error "No such
file to load -- pathname" when Cap tries to execute reaper. Any ideas
what''s causing this or how I can troubleshoot it? (Output follows.)
Thanks.

mongrel_cluster-0.1.1: the bird dog (capistrano support!)
Hey y''all:
mongrel_cluster provides management tools for running Mongrel behind
a reverse-proxy/load balancer. It is an extraction from Rails
Machine, a deployment service and Ruby library that simplifies Rails
application deployment. This release fixes bugs and adds a Capistrano
task library.
Changes:
-changed pid file format to include port
-only write configuration options

"can't activate activesupport" error
Hi,
I''ve got a production server with rails 1.2.3 installed. Previously my
app had frozen rails 1.2.3 as well. I decided to update frozen rails
to 1.2.6.
Deployment went fine until rake task was executed, which resulted in
the following error:
rake aborted!

Capistrano deployment issues under Ubuntu Dapper
I''ve recently upgraded my box from Ubuntu Breezy to Dapper, and for
the life of me can''t figure out why I''m getting this exception thrown.
I''ve switched from Switchtower to Capistrano, and when I run rake
deploy I get this output:

Rake not finding lib/tasks folder?
Hi all,
I''m attempting to set up a new Rails app using Typo. I''ve downloaded
the Typo 2.6.0 edition which includes Rails 1.0 and it works fine. I''ve
set up version control with SVN and checked out a new working copy.
I''ve run Capistrano -A on the application and it''s set up my deploy.rb
and lib/tasks/capistrano.rake.

problem setting up mongrel_cluster 0.1.1
I posted this to the rails list before by mistake, and only later realized
that there is a specific mongrel list.
Uff, I got lost. I had mongrel_cluster 0.1working fine, even with capistrano
(my own hack). Then came mongrel_cluster 0.1.1 and I tried to set it up,
but somehow I messed up things and nothing worked anymore. So here is what I
did:

Capistrano and Certificates
All,
I''m setting up a deployment script with Capistrano at the moment, and
am running into some trouble when it attempts to pull the code down
from the SVN server when I run the deploy task.
The SVN server runs over https, and the problem seems to be when I get
asked whether I want to accept or reject the certificate. I hit ''p'' to
accept the certificate permanently,

Deployment issue with Rails 3.1.1
Hi, I''ve recently updated an application to 3.1.1 and Capistrano
started to fail at the assets:precompile task. It''s a strange bug that
don''t always happen (it actually worked a couple of time) and there''s
no error message, it only display "Killed". Running the rake task
locally work though. I''ve reverted to 3.1.0 and now it work with

Capgem 0.1 Released
I''ve put up a first release of Capgem on Rubyforge. It''s available under the

Capgem is an extension to Capistrano which adds a pack task to Capistrano so
you can package up your Rails application as a Gem. This is useful if you
are in an environment where Capistrano''s remote deployment tools aren''t an
option. Capgem currently adds start and stop

can't use rake deploy with Capistrano
Hello,
When I do rake deploy I have an error. As you can see, capistrano
tryes to ln a dir that already removed (and I think that the
directory is never created by capistrano).
Before this command I made rake remote:exec ACTION="setup" that
executed the following command:
mkdir -p -m 775 /home/explicadores/apps/tutor/releases /home/
