tc filter add ... fw returns RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument
When I run this: tc filter add dev eth0 parent 1: protocol ip prio 1 handle 1 fw I get: RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument The traditional interpretation of that gnarly error message is that cls_fw is missing, but lsmod | grep cls_fw gets me: cls_fw 2336 4 (autoclean) I can''t remove it because it''s in use, but all 4 statements that use it failed, so

Sharing a DSL between 40 subnets with htb
I have a network with around 40 /24 subnets that shares a common DSL, this cries out for shaping so here I am trying to make it work as my first tc project. I have managed to cargocult some snippets from this list and tried to come up with a config, but there are a few things that I''d really like some input on: 1) Are the NAT''ed addresses available in the PREROUTING table

We've got Samba 2.0.6 running as a PDC, Windows 98 clients domain logins. Works beautifully except for changing password - when changing passwords through Control Panel | Passwords, Win98 says 'Unable to change password for Microsoft Networking because of the following error: Incorrect password'. As it happens, the supplied password is correct. smbd log as follows : [2000/03/13

Localhost traffic and ipfw rules
I seem to be stumped on this one. I have TCP packets destined to my external interface from 127.0.0.1 (Ack+Reset zero data) with source MAC of my default gateway and I can't seem to block this traffic. Snort picked up the traffic and I have confirmed with tcpdump. So I decided I needed to examine my anti-spoof rules. I already had this one deny ip from any to 127.0.0.0/8 in recv

Breakpoints for multiple variables using Segmented
Hi all, I am using the package ?Segmented? to estimate logistic regression models with unknown breakpoints (see Muggeo 2003 Statistics in Medicine 22:3055-3071). In the documentation it suggests that it might be possible to include several variables with breakpoints in the same model: ?Z = a vector or a matrix meaning the (continuous) explanatory variable(s) having segmented relationships with

DUNDi Docs
Does anyone know where I can find some good DUNDi docs? The ones are dundi.org are absolutely horrible. The examples in dundi.conf are pretty much useless. I still can't figure out why Digium can't write some good documentation. It's their 'baby' after all. This really drives me nuts and pisses people off in general. I've been dicking around with DUNDi for over 6 months and

Hello there, Can someone please explain why do one neeed IMQ ? I can already shape incoming traffic on my nat router by creating qdiscs on LAN-side interface. I have done some tests, whith simple bandwidth limmiting, and it works.
