Small noise every 3 seconds
Hi all, Firsts of all, let me say that I'm new to asterisk. I have some time suscribed to the list reading a lot of your messages and trying to learn a lot. The case is: last week I installed an asterisk server in the following scenario: PBX --- CISCO_ROUTER ---- ASTERISK The calls that are routed within the asterisk work perfect, there is not problem. However, the calls that are

Satellite ocean color palette?
Dear List, Is there a color palette avaliable similar to what is used in satellite ocean color imagery? I.e. a gradient with blue on one end and red on the other, with yellow in the middle? I have tried topo.colors(n) but that comes out more yellow on the end. I am looking for something similar to what is found on the CoastWatch web page:

VoIP over satellite internet
Could those on the list who have used or tried to use VoIP over a satellite internet connection comment on how well it works or if it even works at all in a reliable way. What is the effect of latency on the VoIP path and how much is generally tolerable? routing via satellite adds about a quarter second of latency to the path. Is that too much? Eric

IAX2 trunk mode over satellite
Today has been the day for satellite questions, apparently, so I'll proxy one out to the rest of the community... I asked this tangentially a month or two ago, but I'll put it in a more blunt way: If you have IAX2 trunking mode experience over satellite, please let us know your experiences with that protocol/transport combination. I've got several people asking about IAX2 and

DNS Caching for a satellite link
I'm on a satellite link, and I've got a caching DNS server set up. Several popular sites have very short DNS cache times set in their SOA records, and I'm trying to over-ride them so that our link isn't swamped with DNS queries. Anybody know how to force the DNS cache to hang onto the info longer than the SOA TTL? Yes, I know the arguments against doing this, but in this

htaccess htpasswd and satellite connections
Yeah, maybe this is a bit on the edge.... I am discovering several issues with users on satellite internet connections not being able to authenticate via a htaccess/htpasswd system. Some users cannot connect at all, some can connect reliably.. and some are hit and miss.. works one day and not the next. Yet those same users can log in fine if they switch back to their dialup system. Has

Madogram, rodogram, semi-variogram of satellite imagery
Greetings! Is there in any package for R which can help me generate madogram, rodogram, semi-variogram, cross variogram from landsat imagery. I intend to select portions of large imagery (i.e., obtain subsets) and generate the above said texture layers. A simple Google search led to me a result suggesting SpatialExtremes for generating madograms. However I am not sure about its capability to
