RE: ActiveRecord::StatementInvalid error after app has beenrunning for a while
I have this problem as well... After so many hours of inactivity, I get
"statement invalid" and if I restart Apache or WEBrick, everything works
fine again.
What steps can I take to fix this? I don''t want to have to restart the
server!

RE: sorting <a href..> with D&D follows the link(browser thinks I click)
Maybe don''t make anchor tags draggable? Or you could do something like
change the href to point to ''#'' and move the actual href into your
javascript, and only call it if they click without dragging. Still, I
think making a clickable item draggable is begging for problems.

RE: Re: Prototype Ajax - How to pass my own params toonComplete
That technique will not work for this case.
By default, the response element is passed in to the onComplete handler
as the first argument. Basically, all ''bind'' does it let you bind the
''this'' element to the function, so when you reference this.whatever in
the function, the ''this'' refers to ''this'' in the scope that the event

Rails redirect/jump script?
I''m looking for some advice on how to write a jump script - something
that will look up a url in my database and redirect a cleaner url to
the one in the database.
For example:
url: http://www.amazon.com
jump url: http://www.mysite.com/jump/a

You need a closure.
onComplete: function (response) { NamedActionResponseHandler(theElement,
response); }
Is that what you mean?

RE: Error: "onclick() is not a function"
I see what he is saying now. When you assign a click event with the
Event.observe it does not allow you to call it with the
$(''xxx'').onclick(); command as it''s looking for the onclick tag in the a
tag.
I''m stumped on a way to get this to work.

RE: Replacing an html chunk with a different htmlchunk
Actually, I see there are two other prototype calls:
Element.remove(''foo'');
Which does a parentNode.removeChild(), and
Element.update(''foo'', ''some html'');
Which does element.innerHTML = ''some html'', and executes any script that
is in the string you pass in.
