As I remember there were rumors, that those techniques were just supported for dom0, meaning that all the guests would run slow if dom0 idles. Is there already a solution for this implemented (in the unstable-tree), so that guests do also influence power-state? If so, does it also work with dualcore-cpus or is it better

iptables mangle table PREROUTING rule with -o flag
Greetings all, I realize from the subject line this makes little sense but here''s the scenario: I''m trying to shape (via priority - not bandwidth) peer to peer traffic from a number of clients. Currently I use an IMQ device to bring all their outbound (inbound to me - outbound to Inet) traffic together to work with policies all at the same time. I''m testing the

Benchmark results
Hey everyone, I hope you guys can help me explaining a pretty strange result that came up when benchmarking a native Red Hat installation against a Xen DomU (installed in a file container). I used lmbench3 on a dualcore AMD-machine. To make the results comparable, I "unplugged" all CPU cores but one in the native installation (setting the "online"-entry to 0). The DomU had

Regression since 1.0RC5
Hi there, I've found a regression in wine. Some wine versions ago (sorry don't know the exact version but it must be wine1.0RC1 or wine1.0RC2) there was a "bug" that caused Steam to be extremly ressource hungry (processor is at 95% to 100% -> 2.4 GHz dualcore) and it took much time until you could see your games in Steam or a website is displayed. Now the bug is back (in
