Dear all,
Do you know any webmail apps in Ruby on Rails ?? Though I found

is there a way to make rsync include/exclude options case insensitive?
Dear People,
A friend asks
*************************************************************
For the rsync include/exclude options is there a way to make it
case insensitive?
What I mean is that --exclude
"*.pdf" would exclude "*.PdF" and "*.pdF" as well.
I am looking for something like the -i switch for grep.

Other domain sequence numbers are -1
Everyone,
I have configured a new SLES 10 server exactly the same as I
had previously configured a SLES 9 server. The only difference is the
version of samba. On the SLES 10 server, I am running the 3.0.23c
level, the SLES 9 server is behind a little. My problem is with
connecting to other AD domains. Only my default domain has a valid
sequence number. All the other domains are

Excessive traffic causing slow logons
I am seeing some extremely slow logons to my SUSE servers. All are
configured exactly the same. When I attempt to log on, I can enter my
domain (AD) account without any problems. I then enter my password and
sit and wait for several minutes until it eventually takes me to my
desktop. In attempting to debug the problem, we have been able to see
millions of calls to the domain controller. They

dom0 nouvueau on 2.6.37 invokes OOM killer
hi,
With XEN enabled in mainline kernel 2.6.37 configured for nouveau,
X failed with familiar symptoms. Found drm-tree did not have the
TTM_MEMTYPE_FLAG_NEEDS_IOREMAP or the drm_scatter patches.
Applied these patches (generated from my working 2.6.32.18 xen kernel
with 2.6.35.4 drm-tree backported) to the 2.6.37 mainline kernel.
Now starting X in dom0 invokes the OOM killer!
Bare boot works, as

RC3 killer sample?
I was able to ABX 60.wav from the lame samples up to q=5.9 (13/16 tries at
that quality level). I failed to ABX it at q=6.0 (8/16).
The sample exhibits a pumping artifact; a "fluttering", if you will, of the
amplitude. The effect becomes more pronounced as quality setting / bitrate
decreases.
Any thoughts?
Also - if anyone replies to this, could you CC me a copy? I'm not on the

133 kbps stereo killer sample
I halved the volume of the sample before encoding with
`sox -v 0.5 floex.wav quiet.wav` and now I can't ABX it succesfully anymore.
So the artifact I heard was just clipping when encoding or decoding.
Opus remains unbeaten for me at 133 kbps. That's totally awesome.
Cheers

KVM oom-killer
CENTOS-6.5
I had a kvm guest shutdown by oom-killer this morning. I have the syslog
entries that pertain to this but they tell me little beyond that it happened.
What must I look at to determine the root cause of this issue? How is it
prevented?

Samba 4.9.4 - high RAM usage - OOM killer
Hi,
It looks like what is happening is the Samba RPC server is forking a
separate process for each NETLOGON connection it accepts. Normally, when
the connection is closed, the child process will be cleaned up. On your
setup, the connections appear to be left open (presumably due to the
constant mail SSO queries), and so the rpc_server processes just
accumulate. You had 669 rpc_server processes,

oom killer: gfp=mask=0xd1 - bug w/ EM64T?
Hi -
Running into the error below when copying over large files via ssh. This
occurs even when I have vm.overcommit_memory=2 set in /etc/sysctl.conf. The
research I've done indicates that this is a bio-uses-GFP_DMA bug with EM64T.
I'm running CentOS 4.4 with the 2.6.9-42.0.3.ELsmp x86_64 kernel on the
following hardware:
2 x Intel Xeon CPU 5148 @ 2.33GHz
Supermicro X7DB8 motherboard

Know what would be killer?
If call recordings were stored in stereo and the callers were evenly
distributed along the stereo spectrum. BAM.
Just a cool idea I thought up, but probably completely impossible, and
even if not, likely too much work for too little reward. Even less
likely would be live stereo conference calling. But hey, RTP certainly
supports stereo streams, right? I don't know if any of the used codecs
