OGG validation tool?
Is there some tool for UN*X that basically checks if a file is a
valid, intact, OGG file. I have had some bit rot and need to know what
works and what doesn't, without having to listen through it all.

Ogg checksum thingie needed
I need some sort of utility to calculate a checksum of an Ogg file.
Two differently encoded Ogg:s should give different checksums, but the
same file with different tags should give the same result.
(The serial number doesn't work here, obviously. I need something that
is changed if a bit of the file is lost.)

Not another SAMBA through a firewall post
I suppose a few questions pop up on this list about access Samba through a firewall. ?I have been very successful running Samba through a firewall, until today. ?I hit a stumbling block.
I have a Linux Firewall with the public IP Address of 134.x.x.140 <it is not the exact ip address, but close>. ?I am using NAT and port forwarding to send traffic destined for 137, 138,139, and 445 for BOTH

iptables marking problems and ip route not working
Hello,
I''m trying to configure a machine to send mail traffic out on eth0 and web
traffic, via Squid, out of eth1, with the default gw on the eth0 interface.
After spending most of the day of trying this and that and reading docs until
my eye hurts, I have had zero luck making anything work expect for standard
routing.
The Advance Routing Howto makes it seams easy to do this, but I fear

Target triple normalzation through the LLVM C API
Hello everyone,
First of all, this is my first posting here, so feel free to tell me if I'm asking the wrong questions in the wrong place.
I've discovered that the target triple normalization which used to be done at all times on sys::getDefaultTargetTriple() has been removed, due to the fact that most users of this function explicitly call Triple::normalize() on its result. This has

LDAP/iptables
Hello,
I am trying to get LDAP running. So far, the server is running but I cannot
connect to port 389 or the server using webmin or phpldapadmin. It could be
my ISP has blocked this port but I'm not sure. I have tried to telnet to
port 389 but it is refused. All other services run fine.
I user the iptables ruleset found in the IP-Masquerade HowTo. Below is the
ruleset I follow for

transferring SIP call: no voice
I'm trying to connect a sip call from sipgate to Asterisk A to Asterisk
B. Both are behind NAT, but port forwarded. I get the connection, but no
voice - either in or out.
I can call on SIP from A to B (and from B to A). Do it all the time.
Asterisk A receives SIP calls from Junction and Teliax.
CLI on A looks right:
== Using SIP RTP TOS bits 184
== Using SIP RTP CoS mark 5

Still VPN
Hi, still trying to understand one thing. I would definitely like to
tell iptables to accept all packets coming from remote vpn only if they
hit the $VIRTUALVPNINTERFACE. I tried -o ipsec0 but this is not working,
looks like ipsec0 device doesn't exist or it is not recognized. I red on
the Openswan users list, that Linux kernel 2.6 native ipsec don't create
ipsec* interface (if I am

compiling iproute
Hi there. My name is Lucas and I''m from Argentina. Firstly,
forgive me for my english since it is not my native languaje.
Now, I''ve been reading on how to compile iproute2 and found that I
need to add the following to my kernel, which in my case it is 2.4.20,
and it is also the one which this document I read talked about:
CONFIG_NETLINK=y
CONFIG_RTNETLINK=y
# CONFIG_NETLINK_DEV

HTB and prio
Hi,
this is a followup to "Problem with HTB and ceil", the problem with the ceiling
has been resolved, thanks to the memebers on this m/g.
Now I have the problem that packets get into the correct classe with the correct
marks but the prios are not respected. I have 4 different classes:
1. voip class / prio 0 / mark 100 / voip traffic
2. ACK class / prio 1 / mark 200 / ACK packets to

[Bridge] Wireless Bridge problems
I am using the madwifi driver with the patch to allow changing of the
MAC address
and I have two other ethernet interfaces plus a pppoe interface. My
outbound
connection is ppp0. I have ath0, eth1, eth2 for internal interfaces.
I have
added these three interfaces to br0. Once the traffic leaves the linux
router, it gets
NAT'd and goes out through ppp0. All traffic on all segments works

RE: RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument
Hi All,
concerning the problem when running the "ip ru ls" command.
I faced with the same problem, and I solved it by making sure to include the following settings into the kernel configuration (2.4.18):
CONFIG_IP_ADVANCED_ROUTER=y <===
CONFIG_IP_MULTIPLE_TABLES=y <===
CONFIG_IP_ROUTE_FWMARK=y
CONFIG_IP_ROUTE_NAT=y
CONFIG_IP_ROUTE_MULTIPATH=y
CONFIG_IP_ROUTE_TOS=y

Multicast only working in promiscuous mode
Hi,
I am trying to set up a uPnP server on a Linux box (Debian Sarge Stable kernel 2.6.8). uPnP
works using multicast packages for locating servers.
This does however seem to fail unless I set the relevant NIC in promiscuous mode. If I do so,
it works well.
I have added
ip route add 224.0.0.0/4 dev eth0
and
echo 1 >/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
and the kernel is set up to enable
