Question regarding Split Access description
Hi All, I''m a big user of the LARTC document but am currently stuck with a question around section 4.2 (http://lartc.org/howto/lartc.rpdb.multiple-links.html) in relation to "Routing for multiple uplinks/providers". I''m wanting to do a similar setup to the diagram where I have - lets just say for the moment - two uplink providers where I want to route over two

[Bridge] Multilink + bridge + nat problem
Hi, I have a suspicious problem with multiple uplinks configuration. First of all my configuration: 1) kernel 2.6.20.3 2) iptables 1.3.7 3) last iproute (for masked marks) All wan interfaces are bridged (stp disabled) in only one interface (wan0), all lan interfaces are bridged (stp enabled) in only one interface (zlan0). The wan0 bridge is to allow UPnP works. To allow related

dst cache overflow (bridged wan interfaces)
I recompiled yet 2.6.19.1 kernel (using iptables with the same patches too). The configuration for this test is: 1) linux box with 2.6.19.1 kernel (SMP machine) with these patches/modules: a) l7-filter b) ipp2p c) connlimit d) set 2) 4 ethernet interfaces: a) 2 external (eth1 and eth3) interfaces with balanced links (as described in nato-howto) bridged as wan0

DNAT and Load Balancing
Hi all! After that good thread "DGD patch not detecting dead gateway" I was able to set up a Load Balancing with ping based DGD (without Julian Anastasov patch). But now I''m facing a new problem and tried some options, with only partial solutions. I made a script based on http://www.mail-archive.com/lartc@mailman.ds9a.nl/msg16257.html (Thank you Manish Kathuria),

redirecting traffic using iptables
Hi. I have two internet connections, the ADSL2+ is very very cheap (but fast 10mb) and I want to use the SHDSL (2mb) only for mail, ssh, http OUT and the ADSL2+ only for surfing. I all works fine if people specify the proxy in the browser, but in case like flash it of no use. Further if I can make the 80/443 traffic go through the proxy only, its an added bonus. If this can be done, fine. Bue I

HTB qdisc within HTB root qdisc
Hello... Im trying to setup HTB to allow me to shape traffic from two upstreams that meets on single lan0 interface. I prefer to use HTB qdisc within HTB root qdisc for cleaner rules design. Seems that it doesnt work at all. tc -s class show doesnt show any traffic on other classes attached to HTB qdisc. Linux 2.6.20.7 iproute-2.6.20-070313 Weird thing is that tc -s class show that 1: and 2:

weird fail with conversion to bridges?
I''m converting my network from a "one interface per segment" to a "single connection with vlans", well, some hardware I have requires using different vlan IDs. suffice it to say I need bridges to connect a few different vlans that should all be one but can''t be because of firmware constraints. so my first step is to get shorewall to know about bridges.

[Bridge] Building a Raw Bridge
I'm having trouble figuring out how to make a bridge that does not block forwarding of packets when there is no receive channel in the same bridge. The reason I want to do this is that the return path is via another circuit. The two directions are on two different radios. I would think this would be like the response given to someone in July 2007 about setting a "hub" mode by

Delays on E1 Delivered via SHDSL
I have an Asterisk system with a TE110P installed and connected to an ISDN E1 PRI that is delivered via a 2mb SHDSL connection. I am experiencing delays (the type of delay you would get on an international call) during calls. I am wondering if anyone could advise, would the problem be with any part of the Asterisk system or is the problem with the fact that the ISDN is delivered over the internet?

Optus Australia Multiline SHDSL service
Hi, I am currently trying to find a replacement for a dinosaur PBX and want to replace it with a VoIP solution. We have just moved our lines over to an Optus Multiline from a Telstra ISDN Onramp 30 service with 100 lines. My question for you good people is what sort of hardware do I need to interface Asterix into the Optus Multiline? The Optus service is terminated in my office to a SHDSL

Problems with Routing and Masquerading
Hi, I have a linux box which balances load between two interfaces ( say WAN1 and WAN2). I have masquerading on for any request coming from LAN to the outside world. The setup is in such a way that WAN1 drops packets with source ip belonging to WAN2''s network and viceversa. For some strange reason, I find that packet coming out from the WAN interface has source address of WAN2 and

Routing/NAT question
Hi all, I have a strange setup I am trying to get working. Initally I thought I could set it up by just setting up the correct routes. However after thinking about it I have convinced myself (maybe incorrectly) that I most likely need some sort of advanced NAT/routing setup. Below is a description of the networks involved: Local net (192.168.101.0/24) | | Linux machine eth1
