Bookman font is replaced by Courier New.
Hi all.
My setup: x86 Arch Linux? with Wine 20030318. I have a Microsoft Word
document that I'm trying to open in TXWords? under Wine. This document
is written using the Bookman font. When I open the document in TXWords,
all the text is displayed in the Courier New font.
Bookman is available through X:

FW: Problems with floor, round functions (PR#7215)
Please disregard the previous bug report. It appears that the session I was
running had become corrupted and a new one is not reproducing the errors
described.
thanks

How to specify fonts
In Splus, if I wanted to use Bookman-Demi instead of the default
Helvetica, I would specify font = 18 as a graphical parameter for a
postscript printer.
In R it seems font can take only the values 1 to 4 which change only
the style but it's still Helvetica. There's some great flexibility
using Hershey vector fonts, but it appears they are all mono-spaced.
I wish to use proportional

AWDwR typography question
So, I''ve been listing to stuff folks have been saying about the
Bookman font we use. Most people like the font, but some feel there
aren''t enough words/line, so your eyes move too much.
So, I spent the weekend playing with typography, and I''ve come up
with a compromise. The thing is: it looks good to me, but I don''t
want to mess up the read for others

ylim doesn't work in boxplots?
I want to leave a little extra room at the bottom for a legend in a box plot,
but I find that the boxplot function ignores ylim. Is there any way around
this? Thanks.

[ADMIN] netfilter.org CVS now converted to subversion
Important Announcement!
The netfilter.org CVS server (pserver.netfilter.org) has been deprecated
by the new subversion repository at svn.netfilter.org. More information
about the subversion revision control system can be found at
http://subversion.tigris.org/.
Everybody has read-only access to the new subversion tree using either
svn+http or svn+https. We do not provide the native svn protocol.

Microsoft outlook or outlook express and roaming profiles
Hi all,
we are using samba 2.2.6 with windows xp SP1, and roaming profiles.
We would like to have email settings (servers/usernames etc) with the roaming
profiles, but outlook (either microsoft, or express) store their settings in
a path that is not included in the profiles
we do not care about the actual emails, since the mailserver is IMAP, we only
care about settings
Has anybody

plot with no tick marks
Dear R people,
I have the following simple bit of code to make a plot. I want to suppress
tick marks on the axes of the plot. I've been trying everything I can
think of to do so, but have been unsuccessful. Can you help me? If you
reply, please cc me, I'm not currently subscribed to the list.
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely, Faheem Mitha.

dev.print and postscript device problem
Hello to the list,
I noticed something that it seems weird to me with postscript device in
dev.print function.
Suppose this little code:
x<-1:10
par(family="sans")
plot(x, main="main")
Using dev.print with pdf device brings no problem
dev.print(device=pdf, file="test.pdf")
But using postscript device
dev.print(device=postscript, file="test.ps")
I get

[OT] CVS update
Um,
I don't remember the exact checkout command line I used, but it was
probably something like the instructions on the web page:
cvs -d :pserver:cvs@pserver.samba.org:/cvsroot rsync
anyway, how do I update?
I tried:
[chris@lt2 rsync]$ cvs update -d -P
cvs [update aborted]: connect to pserver.samba.org(66.70.73.150):2401
failed: Connection refused
and login gives the same:
