Re: Routing & NAT Problem take #2
Try to SNAT the incoming conection too, then your server see only the
200.x.x.x IP for the incoming calls.
You have DNAT for redirections, add a postrouting SNAT. I supose that you
are DNATing in PREROUTING and you will add a rule (only for example) for
SNAT the incoming calls from 200.x.x.x router:
iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -d <internal server ip> -j MASQUERADE

choose the right sshfp
Greetings.
I've set up several sshfp records some time ago. Everything works great
except the way openssh chooses the sshfp record. Now it looks liek the
client asks for the name supplied on the command line. It might
be a bit trouble some since there are at least three ways to set up
some aliases and at leas one of them is secure.
I propose an alternative way which even seems more robust

izbalancing - a GNU/Linux Firewall/Router Bash Script feauturing Incoming/Outgoing MultiHomed/LoadBalanced Subsystem Management
Hello,
i wrote a simple but useful (i hope) bash script featuring a easly and
fastly configuration method for implementing a Linux Gateway feauturing
Incoming/Outgoing MultiHomed/LoadBalanced Subsystem Management.
I want share this little script.
you can download a copy from the following address:

SPA2102 with Public IP no NAT getting one way audio between Asterisk Phones.
Greetings,
I'm having a heck of a time with one way audio on a SPA2012. It's
public IP connected directly to cable modem. One line configured.
Asterisk is multihomed Public IP outside / Private Inside.
Extensions inside network are can't hear audio from phone outside
connected via the spa-2012.
Outside can here audio from inside the network. Ring works both ways.

disconnecting
I have done the setup presented on lartc.org for load balancing
(multihoming). I have 2 ISP and 1 LAN. After doing the setup on the linux
box I saw that the balancing works, but the yahoo messenger on the LAN
disconnects quite often. I also have DC++ and Azureus, with port forwarding
from the linux box to the windows machine. After doing the load balancing,
the two p2p applications started to use

WINS + multiple subnets + multiple domains
Hello
After seeking solutions and fixes to the problem I'm experiencing and not
finding any, I turn here. If there is no solution, please don't be shy to
pointing out that too :-)
The problem:
I have multiple IP-networks with windows clients in them. Some are 95, most
are 98, some 2000 and xps. Most networks have at least one NT4.0 server in
them, some have more, some have none.

Split Access Routing and SNAT
Hi all,
i got the following configuration:
* NET1: DSL Line with /28 network, let''s call it 10.1.0.0/28
* NET2: DSL Line with /28 network, let''s call it 10.2.0.0/28
* INTNET: Internal Network with productive servers and workstations,
192.168.1.0/24
Obvisiously the 10er networks are official networks but censored to
protect my customer.

traffic shaping with NAT: IFB as IMQ replacement?
Hello,
Sorry for the many Ccs, but I hope to reach all parties involved.
I want to do traffic shaping with NAT and I wanted to do it with IFB
instead of IMQ [1]. I tried a lot of things but now I am stuck (and
maybe confused).
The setup:
eth0 eth1
WAN/(Internet) <-> Linux Router <-> LAN
Linux router:
- does NAT for the LANs
- runs local processes

Hi Paul,
thanks for your answers.

Do they actually have the same peer address?
The connection is pppoe, the gateway is assigned by the ISP and the 3 ADSL
connections next hop is to the same Router at the ISP.
The gateway is the same for all 3 connections

dgd/iproute/iptables multihoming problem
I am running 2.4.20 with Julian Anastasov''s patches
(routes-2.4.20-9.diff), iptables v1.2.6a, iproute2-ss010824 on Debian.
I have set up our internal gateway to multihome 2 T1''s as described in
http://www.linuxvirtualserver.org/~julian/nano.txt . The only
difference is that I use multiple IP''s on the external interfaces.

loadbalancing multipath routing frequently freezes udp connections
hi
i recently searched in the mailinglist archive and found similar
problems, whose solutions helped very much, thank you.
i have the following scenario:
a firewall with one lan interface
eth0 10.1.1.1/24
and two uplink interfaces
eth1 10.2.2.1/24
eth2 10.3.3.1/24
each uplink interface does SNAT:
iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING -o eth1 -j SNAT --to-source 10.2.2.1
iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING

[Bridge] Multilink + bridge + nat problem
Hi, I have a suspicious problem with multiple uplinks configuration.
First of all my configuration:
1) kernel 2.6.20.3
2) iptables 1.3.7
3) last iproute (for masked marks)
All wan interfaces are bridged (stp disabled) in only one interface
(wan0), all lan interfaces are bridged (stp enabled) in only one interface
(zlan0).
The wan0 bridge is to allow UPnP works.

NAT & tc filter addresses
Is there a flow diagram as to where tc actions take place with respect
to NAT and other iptables functions on a multihomed box (private &
public NICs) ? Are tc filter rules consulted before or after NATing?
My real interest is in basic understanding first, and then solving a
real problem second.
Example:
Firewall Public NIC 123.123.123.1
Firewall Private NIC 192.168.168.1

Routing for multiple interfaces (marking ports)
Hello guys,
I am still in doubt about this kind of server. So my question is about
the "prio" at routing tables like:
I have 3 tables in /etc/iproute2/rt_tables:
201 201
202 202
222 222
In table 201 there is the rules about my internet link (frame relay)
that comes into eth0. So I made this route into it:
[root@ns2 iproute2]# ip route show table 201

Samba 2.0.6 Interfaces
We're had some recurring problems with nmbd's on Solaris 2.7 and Irix 6.5
failing to renew their WINS registrations in a timely manner causing the
records to become tombstoned. While we've solved it by issuing "pkill" and
"killall", respectively, of nmbd nightly from root's crontab, I wanted to
alert the authors and other administrators to the problem so similar

multiple links and nat
Hi, this might be a dumb question, but I''m not finding much
information online.
I''m trying to setup a 2.6 linux box to run nat across multiple
upstream links as a simple way to aggregate bandwidth. I found the
instructions in lartc section 4.2
(http://lartc.org/howto/lartc.rpdb.multiple-links.html) fairly clear
and straightforward. I implemented those, and a couple of trivial
