netmask 255.255.255.255 vs ip route add via ... (bug?)
Greetings routing folks, I want to use the netmask 255.255.255.255 to insulate (not quite isolate) machines on a shared subnet from each other. This works just fine on win XP, but Linux iproute will not acccept the gateway address in one step -- neither on the command line nor via DHCP: Here''s the interface, set up with a netmask of /32: # ip addr ... 2: eth0:

windows 10 locking profile files
I am running samba 4.5.1 on Ubuntu 16.04. The samba server is running as an AD DC and stores the user profiles, the clients are all windows 10 professional. One user reported being locked out of the profile pretty regularly. After investigating the case I saw that a lot of files in the profile are still locked even after logging out and shutting down the system. After restarting the samba server,

dovecot POP3 log shows too many identical RETR entries
Hello, Dovecot log is showing too many POP3 RETR entries which are identical lines. I also suspect that it is causing high pop traffic eating most of the network bandwidth. Here are some of the lines out of 11009 in a day. Such pattern is observed only for few users. dovecot version is 2.1.17. ============== Mar 20 00:00:07 pi3 dovecot: pop3(user at example.com): Disconnected: Logged out

Also, I'm not sure how your sip.conf is set up for asterisk, but if you've set it up like: [203] type=friend username=blah secret=blah etc... Your Polycom config file will generally look like this. <PHONE_CONFIG> <OVERRIDES

gluster peer probe failing
Hi, I am able to recreate the issue and here is my RCA. Maximum value i.e 32767 is being overflowed while doing manipulation on it and it was previously not taken care properly. Hence glusterd was crashing with SIGSEGV. Issue is being fixed with " https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1454418" and being backported as well. Hi, I have tried on my host by setting corresponding ports, but I didn't see the issue on my machine locally. However with the logs you have sent it is prety much clear issue is related to ports only. I will trying to reproduce on some other machine. Will update you as s0on as possible. [Somewhat OT] Integrating RSpec and RCov results in Gem''s RDoc
I have a Gem on which the testing is done with RSpec. I would like to include the results of RSpec and the RCov html files in the RDoc. The problem is that when I have RDoc include the files, it winds up escaping all the html. Is there a way to get HTML into RDoc unprocessed? Or is there some other way I can distribute the RSpec/RCov results with my Gem integrated with RDoc? I can include

full (serial) console install of linux (somewhat o/t) ?
Hi Folks, This is probably a little off topic, but I was wondering if anyone has information on how to do a full (serial/xen) console install of Linux, as a domU. I''ve been able to through remote installs using Xen VNC which is OK, but it would be really nice if I could do a text based install like I can with Solaris. Any pointers, anyone? --joe
