composed_of, aggregate object isn't saved
I am relatively new to rails and I cannot figure out what is going on here. I am using the composed_of method in an ActiveRecord class to create two aggregate properties: shipping_address and billing_address. The object properties are getting populated from the form and validation is working - no problem. When I call order.save, though, everything is being saved except the address fields. I am not

confused about ActiveRecord relationships
I am very confused about where to put the belongs_to and the has_one (and other relationship identifiers). I have read the RDoc and the agile book many times about this and I think i still see it backwards. Let me outline my app so you have an understanding... I have 2 tables: Schools { id, school_name, address_id } and Addresses { street1, street2, city, state, zip, country } *** this

FW: cgh package
Hi, I would like some extra information on the 'cgh' package in R. I noticed that there isn't much activity regarding this package on the R and BioC mailing list (I googled it). I started using this package and I have few questions: 1/ As I have a custom tiling like array @8um features resolution (affy), I have a lot of probes to work with. I'm assuming it is correct to

Two strange behaviours with dovecot+postfix+squirrelmail
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, About a week ago I was forced to migrate my main (production) email server from RH9 to Centos4.1. The installation has dovecot-0.99.11 + postfix-2.1.5 and >600 mbox accessed email accounts. Number 1. Some users accessing thru squirremail (installed in my webserver) can read their INBOX at /var/spool/mail directory but when trying to

Formatted output with alternating format at different rows
Dear all, I have a simple question. I couldn't find a solution in the forums/R-user manual; I have also asked to my friends who use R, but couldn't get any answer from them either. I would appreciate any solutions. I want to write formatted text file like in Fortran. More specifically with the format choice of mine for any given line (more specifics are given below). The R function

Strange behaviour in plot and points?
Hello R-users I was puzzled by some strange results of an analysis and I found out what is for me a strange behaviour (I won't dare to say a bug) in both plot and points (and I suspect lines and other kind of lower level plots). If you try the following code: > data<-data.frame(dummy1=c(1:10),dummy2=c(1:10)) > plot(data$dummy1,data$dummy3) A plot of the values of dummy1 against
