Seeking to validate data quality requirements - should I develop a package?
Sounds like you'll be reinventing square wheels. Searching "data quality package" on rseek.org brought up many hits. Hi there, My name is Angelica and I was just checking out your page at http://us1.samba.org/samba/docs/SambaIntro.html and noticed that the the link to the Dilbert site on http://www.unitedmedia.com/comics/dilbert/ isn't working. I'm a Dilbert fan myself :) so I thought I'd mention a page I have bookmarked: http://www.answerconnect.com/articles/dilbert-fans It has a bunch of

unregister_netdevice:waiting for vifXXX.0 to become free. Usage count =1
Hi, This message is showed in /var/log/messages on dom0 when I am trying to shutdown a domu. Sometime it can shutdown eventually, sometime it hang forever. Sometimes, it can shutdown smoothly even without this message. i.e., We can not stably reproduce this problem but we encounter this problem several times in total. I enable IPv6 on both dom0 and domu. I google it a little, it seems related to

iommu=soft for Broadcom NICs PCI-passthru
Hi, My environment is as below: Hardware: Dell R210 NICs: Broadcom NetXtreme II BCN5709/5716 (w/o FLR) Xen: xen 4.1.2 Kernel: 3.6.32.57 (final version of xen community) Distribution: Centos 6.2 (upgraded to above kernel) When I added iommu=soft to domU kernel boot line, the PCI passthru-ed NICs can be UP and RUNNING. Otherwise, omit iommu=soft option would make the passthru-ed NICs only UP but

New entropy coder
Hello, I am a computer engineering student and compression hobbyst and have recently developed a new entropy coding algorithm. It can be used to achieve compression proper of arithmetic coders at very high speeds -almost like Huffman codecs-. Since it could be of interest to you, I send it as an attachment -code and technical report-. Please, drop me a line in case you have any doubt or

Unable to POST after suspend
Hi, I just tried the live CD for CentOS 5.0 on a desktop computer and decided to see if suspend worked. It seems it did, but I'm unable to start the machine again. It's a DIY system with an Asus K8V-X motherboard[1], an AMD Clawhammer 3200+ and 1 GB of Kingston ECC RAM. The system has been perfectly stable despite being utterly abused on a daily basis for almost 3 years. I've tried:

I need a Freelance Coder...
For what's it's worth, I do something similar to this with Andrew Taylor's libshout-java. The Web server manages a playlist, letting users add/remove tracks from the playlist. This playlist is consumed by a "streamer" process that accesses the audio data and pushes it to the Icecast server. [ Java Web Server ] <------> [ Playlist ] |

Asterisk coder conflicts
We have an external FXO/FXS, and use Asterisk as a call router. We want to use G723 for the actual phone calls, because we have limited bandwidth on our return direction. This has been working fine so far. However, now we want to set up Asterisk to handle PBX menues and accept extentions. Asterisk, of course, uses GSM for its messages, and cannot terminate G723 calls. So I want to tell

Questions about FLAC format from a java coder...
Hi, I'm trying to write a FLAC decoder for my Java audio app. Can I ask a couple of questions to this list about the format? I think there are a couple of things not-quite-mentioned in the official spec. RICE CODING: Which order are Rice-coded numbers stored in? (a) [sign-bit][low-order bits]["k" zeroes][1] (b) [sign-bit]["k" zeroes][1][low-order bits] (c)

another entropy coder that might be very useful
Hello, I want to let you know about an algo that will soon be published and that may be of interest to Vorbis (and other Ogg projects) : http://f-cpu.seul.org/whygee/ddj-3r/ddj-3r.tgz this is the archive of the article i submitted. It describes the "Recursive Range Reduction" algorithm (3R for short) and uses only a few basic computer principles (a binary tree being the most complex

Understanding of Vorbis coder
Hi I have gone through the document available in the net regarding the Vorbis encoder /Decoder. Based on that i have prepared a understanding document on the encoder/decoder block. I would like to know whether my understanding of the coder is OK. If there are any other additional block /information pl. provide me with the same. Thanks and regards S.Padmashri <HR NOSHADE> <UL>
